    I paid $60,000 for my RAV4 Prime and they still want to charge me about $500 a year to use the features I already paid for which is insane and cash grabbing. Shame on Toyota!

      This is not a cash grab this is pure theft. You've already paid for the equipment and no more service is provided by Toyota yet they want you to pay more before it can work.
      What else subscription for AWD, turn Signals, the car honk???

    Please remove subscription models from your company, it’s going to ruin your reputation. (Which, if you weren’t aware will impact your sales)
    The little cash grab you’ll get with Remote subscriptions, will pale in comparison to the money you’ll lose in car sales.

    No one wants to subscription remote start. Stop it, the car is purchased that is enough. Youre not hurting for $ so dont be greedy. Be kind to your customers

    The setup part completely breezes over HOW to actually do that or where the codes come from. I've been trying to figure this out for two days, but nothing seems to work.

    Just you wait it gets worse over time. I said the same thing about macrotransactions in video games. Now video games charge thousands to pay and play. Same thing is coming to vehicles. Wait until it's a monthy fee to use the infotainment system.

    I have a new phone, S23 ultra and have tried switching that phone to primary but can't! I tried deleting the phone and accidentally deleted the profile while ALSO cancels all subscriptions linked to the vehicle. I had to readd my profile but it's still showing my old phone as the primary phone. I can only add my new phone as secondary which has limited features 😢

    My toyota app hasnt even worked in over a year🤦‍♀️ i got my car july last year and the app stopped updating September last year. I tried everything to get my info to update(odometer, gas level, tire pressure levels) but nothing worked. It all stayed stuck on the last readings from September 2022. Even CS tried everything but it didnt wanna update. And its annoying because under my car features it said remote start with the app, but i never got to get it set up because it only worked a short time😒😒

    Let's start a thread on what the Class Action Lawsuit settlement is going to be. Do you think Toyota owners of the remote start feature from remote control which the dealers proclaimed as a feature to us buyers, which we supposedly aren't suppose to know about or use...once Toyota disables it and this becomes a mass corporate complaint that goes through a 2 year court battle- do you think we're going to get $50 $100? $500 or $1000? Do you think the settlement will be a check for cash or some type of Toyota credit ? Maybe a Toyota Thermal Mug, or Sweatshirt? TRD Racing hat?
    I personally could care less about Remote Services. From my experience it has extraordinarily poor performance and isn't worth the capacity it consumes on your device let alone the bandwidth consumed while downloading it.

      @@toyotausa Now is 2024 and I have 2023 Venza. Will Remote HVAC come to this model. It means nothing if you can remote start the Vehicle but cannot set the cabin temp or even turn on windshield defroster in the winter. Please add the feature to the service.

    Well it Does not give all the features according to your year or model of vehicle. This Remote connect video is brief and a generalization of the common stuff. My 2023 Camry XSE V6: Start, Lock, Unlock, Odometer reading, Distance to Empty (always false and incorrect for example indicate 91 miles to empty but I can drive another 150 miles), VEHICLE STATUS, HEALTH & ALERTS, SERVICE APPOINTMENTS, Last Parked Location with mini Map, DRIVE PULSE & TRIPS (driving behavior). Under Vehicle Status: Tire Pressure, Doors, Windows.// Health & Alerts: Safety Recalls, Service Campaign ( COVID-19 chip shortage so did not get 2nd Key FOB, later Toyota notified when 2nd Key FOD be avail), Vehicle Alerts, KeyFOB battery status, Quality of Engine Oil. // Finally, Service Appt.: Maintenance Schedule, Appointments, and Service History. * Note: without the Toyota App Remote Connect you will not be able to Remote Start your vehicle using the App or your Key FOB.
    You will need a Remote Connect subscription to use your KeyFOB to start your vehicle remotely. Toyota gave everyone the shaft and when you pay that Toyota makes a profit. All the other subscriptions are worthless including Remote Connect but it is needed if you want to remote start your vehicle.
