    My toyota says it has wifi but when i called they my car doesnt have it available. The OS they have setup is terrible.

    Does the 2022 Sienna has this feature? The dealership didn’t even mention me about it. The funny thing is that i got my sienna January 29, 2022 but when i check the trial services, it’s all expires on January 14, 2023. They already set it up before my pick up date. How does it even possible?

      yep same thing happened to me when I bought my 2022 tundra, not to mention you have to have you're vehicle on to use it so basically if you are at a picnic your truck has to be on the whole time

    Will the fix the issue on 2020 tundras where you have to turn wifi hotspot on manually because it doesn’t automatically turn on?

      I just got the 2024 4Runner and the WiFi Hotspot still has to be manually turned on at engine start. I keep forgetting then cannot do it while driving. If it cannot be set "always-on" then I am not going to subscribe to the service, just too difficult and won't get used as intended anyway. Any fix for this on the way?

      @@KQ4GDM I think that's the same system as my 2020 Tundra. The dealer opened a case with Toyota, and determined it's a design flaw. If signal strength or another condition causes the modem to time out on connecting, it won't come on. They did say if you're driving, you can hold down the power button on the radio to reboot and try again. That works about 3/10 times. No promises on what is planned for software updates to correct it though. @toyotausa what say you?

    I have a 2021 Highlander hybrid. Every time I shut off my car, and then start it back up, I have to enable the Wi-Fi each time. Is there a way to make it so that the Wi-Fi stays on so I don’t have to restarts it every time I start my car?

      I have a 2022 Toyota 4 runner. Each time I turn my car off I have to manually connect the Wi-Fi each time I crank the car. I have asked service department repeatedly to program it to connect. The answer is ALWAYS unfortunately that is not an option. 😢😢. Ready to trade. It’s so out-of-date!

    Toyota multimedia has been the worst experience I have seen in an application. I work with computers and your application integration is the worst in my experience. I cannot even get remote connect or Android Auto in my 2020 Prius Prime LE.

      I agree whoever designed this system obviously doesn't use it. The one tiny knob on tundra's radio drives me crazy as soon as it is out of warranty I'm pulling that radio out it sucks!

      Exactly! Toyota has the worst multimedia. Not to mention, their mediocre backup camera. We’re in 2022 but their camera resolution was back in 2008. No improvement at all!

      I really was finally happy with this app until the most recent update. Now I somehow have become the guest driver and I cant seem to figure out how to become the main driver so I am constantly getting alerts that I have driven out of bounds. Went 1 mph over the speed limit. Also I'm not even sure what I'm subscribed too anymore. The app was actually really good until this recent update. I also noticed that the ratings had gone up prior to this update. Toyota you did something right but it's back to being abnoxious. Other vehicle manufacturers have over a 4.0 for their apps. I love my new Tundra TRD Hybrid. I feel Toyota has led the competion in vehicles and that shows with resale values but please please kindly get someone on the app it's my only complaint which all in all I guess isn't bad if it's my only complaint.

    Just recently got a 2023 Corrola SE hybrid. I have a Samsung Note 8 phone where the car will turn my wifi on it. The issue I'm discovering is that it doesn't turn the Wifi on my phone off after I turn the car off. This causes the phone battery to drain faster. So, is there a way when shutting off the car that the phone's wifi can be turned off again?

      Go into ur Hotspot setting and set it up so that after ur specified time of no devices being connected passes it phone will automatically turn it off.

      @@roster2423 I was able to download an app called MacroDroid where I created a macro that turns things off. It ended up being "when disconnected from 'specific toyota wifi', then disable wifi when wifi is enabled". For the record, I did call 800 service from ToyotaUSA above. But, the poor woman I talked to didn't have any technical skills and kept mentioning contacting my phone's provider which made absolutely no sense.

    Connecting to Wi-Fi was not explained to us. We were never able to access it. Do you have to have service with AT&T?

      I had the same problem. I had no idea on how to connect and use the Wi-Fi, during my trial period. I’m not really sure what Wi-Fi connect really is.

      @@toyotausa it’s important to understand that your customers are pretty busy and don’t have the mental energy to learn some complex product feature set. You have to make things very, very simple to understand, assuming that the user is dumb. If you can’t do that, then it’s probably best to not roll out the product.
      Im not dumb and I put in some effort to figure out how to use Wi-Fi connect on my Toyota, and I failed, gave up, and now my trial has expired. I came here to learn what exactly wi-fi connect really is, to see what I missed.

      Same! Can’t figure this out. I even paid for the data through my AT&T cell phone account. I have been paying for this service for a month and still can’t connect because I couldn’t get the free trial to work!

      I don't recommend use that at-t vehicle wifi trial. After it expires and if you don't subscribe and would like to use your cell connection, it will give you a lot of troubles. I am going through this now and I just find there is a need to call and cancel this at-t vehicle wifi. I hope after this cancel, I am able to get back to using my cell wifi/hotspot. This feature of trial vehicle wifi is not recommended to try if you are not planning to pay for this extra service .

    Does this require Remote connect service subscription to be enabled?
    I have expired remote connect service but I have paid Wi-fi Connect from AT&T. I am not able to enable Wifi hotspot in car.
    Customer care from Toyota and AT&T says they are not seeing any problem in system and told me to take the car to Toyota Service center.
    Toyota service says they are not able to fix the issue, and suggesting to take the car to Center where I brought it. 😏
    Really disappointed the service provided by Toyota. Very sad their technical abilities at service center.

    I have a 2022 Highlander and can use my wifi if I'm in park but it says app gets turned off while driving!! What a joke I got it so my kids could watch their iPad when we travel! Crappy service like usual
