Que jogo magnífico zero defeito , muito deixei de lado meus problemas só pra jogar esse jogo , depois de um dia difícil as vezes era só jogar 1 hora ou 2 que eu ficava bem , simplesmente muito bom. Infelizmente não tem tantos jogos que nem esse jogos feitos com o coração.
2:40 - Oh hey, this is the UK English version of this game! I never noticed that when I first discovered this PlayStation 2 version. If they released the original US English version of this game on the PlayStation 2 in North America, that would have been cool!
I'm willing to bet the lack of music is due to a bug that wasn't fixe, and the lack of night time was because of a bug they couldn't fix in time for the release, it seems like to me the PS2 version of this game was rushed out the door, I didn't realize this until recently, but 4x4 Evo 1 for PS2 port released just 6 months before the release of 4x4 Evo 2, that means when they were working on that port and trying to develop this game at the same time, I was wondered why 4x4 Evo 2 felt more rushed than Evo 1, now it all makes sense, I wonder if Terminal Reality was under deadline, it's the only explanation why they decided not to fix more of this game's bugs before releasing, and making sure future ports release properly including this PS2 version of Evo 2
The sequel was never released on the PS2 in the USA, only Europe. For some reason the Xbox, GameCube and PC got 4x4 EVO 2, but not the PS2 in the US. You can download the PC version easily now through torrents. I just got it yesterday.
Judging from a couple other comments, I think people thought the North American NTSC version of this console release was rare at first, but it sadly doesn't exist. I thought so too and surely, I was mistaken. Better yet, if you want the true, authentic experience of this version of this game in the USA or Canada, import a UK PAL PlayStation 2 and the UK PAL version of this game for it and buy a PAL-to-NTSC converter and a UK-to-USA power adapter, and voila! In fact, I'll do the same thing with a few other sadly PAL-exclusive video games, like "Thomas & Friends: A Day at the Races," "Bob the Builder," and "USA Racer."
Just like the Nintendo GameCube version of this game (released exclusively in North America), this version contains additional vehicles, tracks and parts. Wonder why they didn’t add night time in the sequel ? And wish they add some music while racing and roaming...
