Honestly, one of the most relatable shows that has ever aired. This is how real life works. People do not go around having “meaningful conversations,” at every turn. As soon as the conversation gets serious my humor says “Time to go to work.”
Wow then most people are very shallow and simple minded then. I am equally humourous and serious. Both a meaningful aspects of life. Lack of meaningful connection or avoiding it means our world is void of things that are capable of sparkling and growth.
So corporate greed and people needing to force their feelings and being offended by everything is what got it cancelled. The video said there were 11 MILLION viewers per episode, why do a few people's hurt feelings matter more than 11 MILLION peoples. If you didn't like it or were offended by it, then don't watch it and let those of us that loved the show enjoy it.
Culinary school made sense because the girls were trying to open a baking shop. I've binged it on Roku the last few weeks, and by early Season 6 the shark-jumps have been non-sensical things like the escape room, the prison musical Caroline's dad put on, and other out-of-character (and out-of-premise!) things which proved the writers had already exhausted the normal range of the characters' lives.
The show went six full seasons, it ran its course, nothing more. Secretly, it was always a disguised sex fantasy (what guy could resist a fun loving duo consisting of a bubbly, leggy blonde, and a brassy, buxom brunette?).

I really hope they bring back something of it, or as I said, at least a reunion.

The problem is if they "bring it back" it won't be the same. Do you remember MADTV? They brought it back as an unoffensive parody of itself, noone was happy with the result, it got put down again. Baywatch remake was an unfunny mess. It was a product of its time, you cannot do it with "Modern Sensibilities". The remake of He-Man, Teela runs the place, He-Man is dead, Skeletor is the Master of the Universe! For similar reasons, I am glad they have not remade Knight Rider. BUT Hasselhoff does make a cameo as a talking car in Kung Fury.
100% agree, but some series have come back and were good. Will & Grace for example. But I do see what u mean. I am very well aware of Whitney Cummings’ very crude and dark humor so I can see it triggering some people more nowadays since they’re more WOKE

I'm in Australia and I loved this show back when it was on, but I had no idea about the "controversy". Alot of the jokes were actually censored when broadcast here, so if there was an overly offensive joke that went to air, perhaps Kevin Rudd (Prime Minister at the time) needs to throw blame at the network that let it slip through.
Humor should be clever. This show always went for the simplest most obvious line every single time. Not well written at all. From the sound of the expense per episode it wasn't well managed either.
I never even knew this series existed until last year youtube put some clips from the show in my recommended shorts section. I watched a few and was hooked. I downloaded all 6 seasons and binge watched them. I was totally unaware that the show had been shitcanned and was assuming there would be a series finale at the end of the 6th season. Obviously I was shocked and disappointed when that didn't happen. But I still enjoyed watching those 6 seasons. And I'm happy to hear that Kat and Beth were making 250k per ep by at least the 6th season and hopefully earlier.
Even a movie version of 2 Broke Girls cannot cut the mustard. This movie plot incudes not only whatever famous gourmet chef still alive turns a Brooklyn Diner into a gourmet diner, including a baking business expansion involving cupcakes, even making all New York sports teams as many cameo appearances have their lunch and dinner here. Their employer Han Lee (Matthew Moy) came up such a created great idea might help boom this diner business even rivaling other New York diners.
I kinda like him in "Man Seeking Woman", but probably because his character wasn't really suppose to be likable, and it sortof worked out. Can't really stand him anywhere else. The only time I've ever seen that was Seth Rogen's character in 50/50. He's still the obnoxious douche that he always is, but one little scene give it some context.

I never watched more than a few minutes of a few episodes because I quickly got the impression it was over-sexualized and had a lot of crude humor. But if what is said in the video is true, and given the humorless extremity of current Woke culture, I SERIOUSLY doubt that there was any intentional racism. Woke folks are known for their lack of a sense of humor. If the show really made fun of everyone equally, I am skeptical of an accusations of racism. But again, my experience is EXTREMELY limited.
If only Warner Bros. Shared their Earnings with CBS it wouldn't have gotten Cancelled Warner Bros. just Screwed over CBS not having them a Dime since CBS Originally got their Hands on the Show!
I never really watched it. I have seen bits and pieces now. It is funny. I am absolutely amazed that this show would be criticized when it came on after 2 1/2 Men. A popular show screwed over is so silly. We have gone through so much stupidity. Who am l, though, l don't really watch TV anymore.?
I was a big fan of this show, although it did go off into some riskay stuff. I just WB really killed it by not sharing profits with CBS. Now they are both out money ! Everyone losses !

Nice recap. Perhaps many were hoping a 'Hail Mary', corporate, behind-the-scenes move like FOX saving and taking over airing "Last Man Standing" after its abrupt demise on ABC could be duplicated with "2 Broke Girls." . . . . 16:12 That image of the stylish building is obviously the Directors Guild of America hq on Sunset Blvd. -- NOT the Art Directors' of which the narrator was noting.
I loved the show but over time it got less attention from cbs especially after they got the network rights to Thursday night football games meaning those shows had to be moved to other nights so during that time it got frustrating for me because thry would delay their premieres in favor of their worst show the Big Bang theory I do think Jennifer Coolidge was a mistake to have on the show cause for one her accent was terrible and Sophie was a completely unnecessary character cause the show was already well casted
Can anyone tell me why was cancelled? This video is not straight to the point. I disliked for that reason and I'm not alone, another 1k people also disliked.
lmao. So, if you catch criticism for being provocative and making jokes about stereotypes - and you have the most popular show on the network between 18-39... you don't answer questions or change your formula. If people are upset, let them be upset. You answer to the millions of people tuning into watch your show every week.
So long story short, Warner's corporate greed and not sharing profits with the network it originally aired on lead to it being cancelled. Got it.
Thanx!

wait who refused to film scenes together?
I never watched more than a few minutes of a few episodes because I quickly got the impression it was over-sexualized and had a lot of crude humor. But if what is said in the video is true, and given the humorless extremity of current Woke culture, I SERIOUSLY doubt that there was any intentional racism. Woke folks are known for their lack of a sense of humor. If the show really made fun of everyone equally, I am skeptical of an accusations of racism. But again, my experience is EXTREMELY limited.
The show was terrible and should have been cancelled after season 1.
So it was cancelled due to butt hurt snowflakes.... welcome to todays couture
They made real money just not for the people running it
How it stayed on for more than half a season still is a secret, tho.
If only Warner Bros. Shared their Earnings with CBS it wouldn't have gotten Cancelled Warner Bros. just Screwed over CBS not having them a Dime since CBS Originally got their Hands on the Show!
New subscriber here 😊
The milktruck has arrived.
I really thought Beth was the girl on Fantastic Beast after this sitcom 😅
I never really watched it. I have seen bits and pieces now. It is funny. I am absolutely amazed that this show would be criticized when it came on after 2 1/2 Men. A popular show screwed over is so silly.
We have gone through so much stupidity. Who am l, though, l don't really watch TV anymore.?
Why do you keep throwing in snippets of Ariana Grande??
There were 2 good thing about this show, and they were both on Kat Dennings chest. The asian guy was pretty funny though.
I was a big fan of this show, although it did go off into some riskay stuff. I just WB really killed it by not sharing profits with CBS. Now they are both out money ! Everyone losses !
I love how they say oh it was greed thar destroyed the show but put it on the 2 actors, 60k an episode season 1 to 250k in season 6, but not about the real problem between CBS and WB. I liked the show tho ibwoukdbt say live it. But my girlfriend loves it so i watch it a lot 😂😂
Katt Dennings since 2 broke girls has been busy she was in some of the MCU Thor films and she has a new TV show coming out this year with Tim Allen called Shifting Gears
Good ol’ Hollywood accounting. Sad.
Nice recap. Perhaps many were hoping a 'Hail Mary', corporate, behind-the-scenes move like FOX saving and taking over airing "Last Man Standing" after its abrupt demise on ABC could be duplicated with "2 Broke Girls."
. . . .
16:12 That image of the stylish building is obviously the Directors Guild of America hq on Sunset Blvd. -- NOT the Art Directors' of which the narrator was noting.
I remember that. Everyone ran to sign that Change petition lol.
