Yes, and why wouldn't he? His disability is the lack of sight not his ability to communicate! Why be surprised that he is able to do so? The man is blind doesn't mean he suffers from a speech defect people! Geeze!! However, what is amazing is his uncanny ability to navigate the landscape so well; even sensing / knowing where each crop was planted .I admire his drive and perseverance to take on farming without being able to see. When its farming time all our friends would help my grandma clear the land and we would plant corn, casava, sweet potatoes and yams. Mr Normand you remind me of my uncle he’s long passed. In his lifetime he worked his farm, cut and and shaved slabs to make his Tubs, climb trees thought me to read and tell the time. I tell people all the time that a Blind Man teach me to read, I have always considered myself special and Blessed. Seeing you navigate your way through your field makes me smile. Wow...Amazing and very much inspiring. That is the one thing I miss about being my grandma's property in Westmoreland. When its farming time all our friends would help my grandma clear the land and we would plant corn, casava, sweet potatoes and yams.
