Amazing Work! -would love to understand how the 'skin' was made and applied. I think that touch makes the model so much more richer and I just want to stare at it longer. *new to Aspire

Thanks, to make the skin just use the second icon on the second row of the modeling tab in Aspire. It will make a component of a chosen bitmap.

    Michael...best tutorial so far...exactly what i needed...
Related question..how can i export or save individually created components to be used later in other projects..? example...save the feather/spline in this tutorial so it is available for use in future projects..?
    THANK YOU!!

Right click on the component as choose " Export as 3DClipart". Put it in a folder you like and select that folder from the clipart tab " Local Files". to bring it into the software

Hi Mike, long time subscriber here. Well actually since Monday. I have been going through your videos and I really love your creative approach to things. I am very interest in your faux copper technique. It really has a striking effect on 3d models. Any videos that you can point me to that mimics your technique. It looks like a layer of the green with the metallic paint dry brushed on. Am I correct?

Thanks Paul, glad you like the videos.
As for the finishing, yes there are a few I can think of. I'll send you a list in a few days as I'm off to my vacation. The green is actually a patina that is applied to bronze paint to turn naturally green. The paint had bronze power in it so it is really a bronze finish...I'll be in touch...~M

In Aspire, on the modeling tab, use the second icon on the second row. "Create component from bitmap".

It's the component made from whatever image you are using to draw the vectors. This can only be done in Aspire.
