WORLD'S MOST LUXURIOUS BATH HOUSE (welcome to Budapest)

- Welcome to Budapest! We flew on Wizz Air, a Hungary based airline to it's capital city Budapest, and our first stop is the world's most luxurious bath house! Szechenyi thermal bath house is absolutely insane! Built back in 1913, it houses 18 different geothermal pools all of varying sizes and temperatures. We explore all the outdoor and indoor pools, all while today could very well be the hottest day on record in Budapest...ever. We can't wait for what else Budapest has in store for us!

Budapest is on the top of my bucket list!
,
Yay! Budapest is my favorite city in Europe! Check out St. Matthew’s Church (Matthias Church) and Fisherman’s Bastion on the Buda side - epic views! The central market, Parliament, and The Shoes Holocaust Memorial on the Pest side are amazing as well! Heroes Square is great and you have to eat some gulyás (goulash) while you’re there! Lots of great ideas listed in the other comments. Have fun!
It is funny because I never tought that you guys would come to Hungary. I live in Hungary not in Budapest but our capital city is beautiful I love it. But not just Budapest is beautiful, there are more places in Hungary that are just as beautiful as Budapest.
Never would have “gotten to” Budapest without you guys. Enjoy….even through Europe’s heatwave 😎😎😎😎💛💛
I never would’ve guessed Budapest, but here we are, and y’all have hit the ground running! What an incredible spa and thermal bath that was, despite the heat!
I am so loving all your travel sites. I loved when the wind came at the end of the vlog. It just reminded me of PaPa Bingham giving you a special hug from Heaven. Someday I would love to go to Holland to a town called Valkenburg because a castle is there.
I'm watching you for 1 year From Hungary and I have never tought that you guys Will come and visit Budapest! Have a good Time here🙂🇭🇺
Y’all are such a beautiful couple. I’m so glad y’all are sharing these adventures with us. It’s awesome. Thank you
Love y’all 💗❤️🌸
Budapest would never guessed wow
Guys, I appreciate your effort to make this video for your fans and draw your attention to this unique place in the whole of Europe. But, I can't help but notice that it seems you spent like 20 minutes inside and did not even discover that the biggest central pool outside is a regular pool with normal temperature, and NOT with hot water, because you complained most of the time that it is too hot and you want to escape the place as soon as possible because everywhere is just hot water. Also, inside, there are small pools with all variations of cold water, even super cold where it's impossible to stay more than 2 minutes. So the whole purpose is that people can go from cold to warm water and vice versa or swim in a regular pool if they want, so the complex is OVERCROWDED all the time during the year (both in summer and winter), just to answer to the gentleman who concluded that people probably don't come to Szecsenyi in summer. In a word, your idea was good, but the presentation was impartial and wrong in some aspects. Also, you sounded like you don't quite understand what thermal water is. It has healing and medical effects on human bodies. It means, that after one day spent in thermal water, you feel yourself like you've been to 10 physiotherapeutic sessions. It is a treasure, not something to complain about. So I am not saying you did a bad thing. But if the thermal spa is not your thing, you could have skipped this trip - you obviously prefer some stuff more familiar to you. And this is perfectly fine. Don't take it as a criticism, but more like info, because it seems you came a little bit unprepared to this place.
Beautiful Budapest.....the last place I visited literally the week before COVID-19 I got home days before lockdown.....Absolutely beautiful City & so much history
Beautiful luxurious Bath house! 💜💜. So excited to see Budapest!
My husband and I went to Budapest just before the Pandemic hit. We loved it. I’m going to have to go back through and see the places we went. Have a great time even with the heatwave. ❤️
Wow! So beautiful! Enjoy.
Hi Guys, I live in Budapest. Enjoy the city 😊 you should visit Margaret Island, Buda Castle and try Lángos.
Evening cruise on the Danube.....
I was so excited when I saw the title - I love Budapest. My mum is from there and I've been a couple times. My favourite memory is the food - you must try Chicken Paprikash!
And also check out Fisherman's Bastion, the Central Markets, Parliament building, and cruise down the Danube to Szentendre or to Lake Balaton if you have time.
Have enjoyed travelling the world with you guys via my laptop. My travel bucket list is also growing as a result!! 😊
Where to next?!? I would love to go to Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway! So beautiful!!!
Ah, those baths looked incredible. I may wait for some cooler days though ;)
Looks so clean!!!!!!!
Yeahhh, i am so excited💯
8:00 That's water treatment for different problems, including spinal/neck. Those things are to hold you head. It's great when you have a trapped nerve for example, it helps by stretching your spine (strictly monitored by professionals hence the fence and locks). Not a torture at all: it's actually a very helpful and successful treatment.
Try the wine, it's fantastic and doesn't brake the bank. Budapest is my absolute fav city. If you want to explore Hungary a bit more, please visit Lake Balaton .... absolutely stanning. It's an hours train ride from Budapest.
Hi from a Hungarian who is currently living in Switzerland. :) I spent my studies in Bp. It's a great city. Fuveszkert is a recommendation as well as Tata (its un hour from the city) or Fertod! In Bp obviously the Citadella is a must go to place and the rooftop bars! Or you could do a wine-tour next to Balaton! (Try the fogas (it's a fish and it's incredible) Have fun! It's good to see my home country in your video! 😊
And of course Balaton
Favorite thing of my sons when we visited Budapest was a day with the Hungarian cowboys, trick riding and their bullwhip show.
Sounds like a fun, yet old place with multiple pools etc etc!!! Thank you
I recommend Margaret Island, in the middle of Danube river. It's a green area with bike paths, and yes, another spa.
Hey Helgi! I saw it from the drone today, we’ll have to check it out!
❤️
You two are Amazing!!!!!❤
Love Budapest! Visited Hungary in 2005 - met my family from my paternal grandfathers side! Definitely check out the Parliament building, Fisherman’s bastion, Vaci Utca and the market at the end ( it is spectacular)! If you get out of Budapest, check out Lake Balaton. Enjoy!
formula one motorsport racing series is there this weekend. Maybe factor extra people being around for your plans

Love Budapest, lived there for 8 yrs. Make sure you go to the Central Market, Gellert Hotel, Parliament. If you have time boat ride on the Danube, aka Duna. Those are just a few of my suggested things to see while in town.
Yes, thank you!
Hahaha your a Budapest bubble boy Daniel with your swimming trunks! Such a nice place there can't wait to see what you guys do !

On July 14 , 9 days ago, I was correct in guessing Budapest. Do I win a prize...? LOL Have fun !🏊♀🩱🏊♀
What a beautiful place the spa is enjoy yourselves
I knew you were in Budapest 🇭🇺 because I saw your IG this morning
Wow! I did not know there was such beautiful baths, pools in Budapest, but I did know it’s a beautiful city! How wonderful to travel with you via UA-cam! I’m really enjoying your vids, I hope you are thoroughly enjoying making them and seeing all these wonders! Ps, the swim suit is hilarious! My hubby had swim shorts like those once! They cause a lot of hilarity in with the frustration of instant flotation!
You guy’s are having the time of your life. Going to another bath therapy place.
Dan you made me laugh so hard at how your bathing trunks are blowing up.
Enjoy your stay in Budapest, Stay Safe and God Bless.
Susan From Connecticut
I was very happy that you visited me in Hungary and I am still very happy for you. 😀❤
Just found your channel.i am Hungarian :) I am going today to the Spa. I would highly recommend Kisharang etkezde in central Budapest not so far from Basilica.
Hello!!
♡
❤️👍😘
Thanks for all the history again guys, as this is another place I have never been too. Enjoy the respite of cooler air - if its anything like England it wont last long lol xx
I live in Kamloops British Columbia Canada. Last year the first week of July the tempurature here for a week was around 118 degrees. It was brutal … we were the hottest place on planet earth one of the days. Thank gawd we have central air
Awesome video I really like it lot it was cool and you made awesome video
Totally enjoying your videos very much. Looking forward to each and every video to come. Just wondering if a surprise visit to Maddy is maybe on the cards. Can’t wait for more videos .
You must try the food. Like real
Hungarian good so rich and hearty literally the best I’ve had in all of Europe.
In Budapest itself, Bors for soup and sandwich, Lucky 7 for a huge huge huge burger with steak fries. See the Parliament tour for the opulent inside. Several cake and sweet shops along the big 5th Ave type area. Gödöllo Palace is a train ride and half mile walk away, easy to do on your own and well worth it.
Budapest is great, the Danube Bend towns are great, there's a great summer lake to go to. But the time you get away from the tourist areas Hungary can go down hill real quickly. Be careful but have fun. PS. Nagyvillám Restaurant Visegrad up the side of the hill. Magnificent views of the Danube below while you eat.
Hold up I definitely saw y’all there
Go to Gerbeaud cafe for cake, Gundel Cafe for Gundle pancakes and food markets. Walk along chain bridge and Parliament House is pretty special! Just eat everything!
My parents are from Hungary. However they meet in Canada. I have always wanted to go to Hungary but could never afford to go. I hope to go one day with my husband. I have watched many UA-cam videos of others going. It looks so beautiful. Hope you have a wonderful time.
Hope you can make it someday!
@@danandchelle Thank you. I sure hope so. 🙏🇭🇺
My favourite place ever
I definitely didn't guess Budapest!
You should visit Bucharest Romania. My brother is stationed in Romania in the Navy so his wife came to visit for almost 2 weeks. They visited some beautiful places and said the food was delicious. Just be extra careful everywhere you go. They both came back with the "C",
Oh,you are so Close...Me from Constanta,Romania.Have a wonderful stay there!!🌟🌟🌟🌟😘
Ah we want to visit Romania!
@@danandchelle You should ,it has wonderful places.I know Sean has been here,he can give you tips!!!I truly appreciate all your family and thank you so much for the incredible videos!!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟😀
I never thought a Budapest sorry about the spelling 107 th that is hot at what beautiful swimming and Spa area can't wait to see more love you guys
My son going later on in the week to tomorrow concert x
💕💕💕
Was the spa on Margaret Island? We were in Budapest in 1997. I remember the stairs down to the subway were so steep.
Will you be going to see the passion play? Headed there next weekend.
You two should go to Dubai. Temperatures near 50 degrees Celsius. Not sure what that is in ferenheit
I had no clue
If you go to Aldi grocery store I hope you vlog it. I would like to see what it looks like in another country
My guess is you are off to Croatia next
There famous wedding dance where it sets in Hungary on you tube.
Daniel without the hat you're giving me vibes of a young Jack Nicholson.
Love Budapest! The marketplace is amazing, there are some restaurants, souvenirs and an Aldi for groceries. Learn about their Statue of Liberty, Fisherman's Bastion and that church by it. Parliament is beautiful at night. There is a Holocaust memorial park that is beautiful.
Thank you!
The Statue of Liberty is under renovation.
I have an Aldi about 2 miles from my house. I love it. Been shopping there for about17 years.
Those pools were amazing, but not my cup of tea. Warm water speaks to me of bacteria. Glad you enjoyed! Can't wait to see more of the city!
The water is treated for bacteria (disinfection with chlorine or other treatment), I expect, at least thats what European law demands. Also regular bacterial tests are performed (I believe daily), mandatory by law and subjected to inspection of the authorities. Bio-safety is not a joke over here. Did you know that for Olympic swimming competitions the water temperature must be kept between 25-28 Celsius (77-82 Fahrenheit)? Its safe.
@@Cobalt1520 I'm happy to know such care is taken, and appreciate you informing me. I did notice shallow water they had to walk through before entering the pool and assumed that was some sort of disinfectant. Thanks again for your reply!!
@@sallymarkay3210 Yes, you must pass through the foot wash before entering the pool. This is disinfectant water. Also, you must shower in the outdoor shower before you start bathing (this is also recommended after bathing).
Pool water is regularly checked for microbiological contamination.
@@sallymarkay3210 I'm wondering, where are you from?
Budapest is a very nice city. Went there with church after spending a few days in depercen hungry for a mission trip to the Roma people and orphans.
Wow amazing!
Debrecen, Hungary
@@kushee72 sorry I spelled it how I pronounced it.
@@lynne4him72 no worries, but if anyone try to find it on the map, they wouldn't. :) maybe just write the correct spelling after the world in brakets. cheers
Hope you’re both having an incredible time:)) xx
I would cut the inter under wear out of shorts trust me if you cut the under wear out you’ll be more with out air bubbles in your shorts
Stay for F1 in hungary….woth it…
Dracula caves or nuclear bunker, both under castle
I've been to that bathhouse. Budapest is 2 cities. Buda and Pest. The river separates the two cities.
In fact it was 3 cities, Buda, Pest and Óbuda.
Beautiful baths, but not for me. I want cool refreshing water. Stay safe in this brutal heat.
Thay make it as a nighclub
Australia would be nice
Be sure to show us their meals! 😍
Yes we will film some meals for sure!!
Bill and I went there.loved it love watching your adventures
Oh ya, behind those curtains... don't do it. They paddle you.
