Everyone is not a thief and when you don't allow anyone to own what they are paying for is crazy
Agreed...even if there are no free updates, you should at least be able to own the latest that you buy at the time
they at very least need to let anyone who already has licenses update what they have to v14
Those subscriptions add up. All this will become is a balancing act of paying all your subscription bills on time and fragmentation of your music, since you can't open your projects that last way you saved it if you don't fork it over. You know you gonna drop some subscriptions when you get in a financial bind. I definitely would only use like 5 plugins out of like all they have to offer. I'm not really big on waves it's not worth it to me. I don't do music as a day job so I'd feel like I have to rush to get my money worth. They'll be even more in control when they got you hooked into it then start increasing it to $20 more, then $60 more etc. Then they'll say oh it's because we threw in the convolution Doppler bundle lmao. Then we start feeling like nobody asked for that ish.
They rolled it back but still crazy and a lot of this still applies

it helps out people who don't have enough money for hundreds of dollars
I meant to address this..that’s one benefit, but they are also being cheated in the long run. Sites like Zzounds and Sweetwater do installments on digital software as well
