Have to agree about Mvgs desire, just really puts into perspective how dedicated Taylor was to keep going. I'd love to see Mvg back to his best but I don't think his peak can be repeated he was on a different planet at 1 point
Michael Van Gerwen is my number one favourite I’ve followed him from when he first came onto the circuits at 17 yrs with his spiky hair , but I have noticed this last year something is not right with him , not being unkind but a little bit extra weight makes all the difference to a player how he stands , holds his darts and how comfortable he feels in his attire , I know players have a complicated life , trying to keep to schedules and incorporate home and family life as well as trying to eat sensibly, I have noticed Michael’s new shirt doesn’t look and fit as comfortable as his old ones , watching some oldies one in particular 2015 he averaged 116.90 he played James Wade the best of 12 result 7/0 he used his table a lot to compose himself , he didn’t stand directly behind his opponent watching every throw of their darts , his stance is the same but his throw has changed , instead of a movement of three which was up/aim/throw he now he has a movement of 4 up /aim/ re aim / throw . Has anyone else noticed any little intricacies in other players , one really noticeable one is Mensur Suljovic he changes his throw , he chalks and twiddles most of the game but can play without needing to chalk or twiddle depending how his game is going one to watch out for .

I would put mvg favorite cos Luke has dipped a little bit very recently since his big wins.

Great interview. If MVG loses in the 1st round it tells us nothing. On his day Luke Littler will beat anybody and he will be a future World Champion. MVG can't be judged on that. Judge him when he's being beaten by lesser players in big tournaments, in front of big crowds, the competitions where MVG usually turn up.
Scott Williams 2024 Worlds. Stephen Bunting 2024 Masters. Mensur Suljovic 2024 UK Open. Luke Humphries 2024 Premier League. I don’t know what you’d consider ‘lesser’ but all those names above apart from Humphries are lesser players than MVG and have knocked him out of big tournaments in the last 7 months. Not so long ago none of them players above were anywhere near his level. He’s going backwards it’s staring you in the face.

MVG isn't the old MVG as when he was at his best, . Look at him 10 years ago and today. He use to throw them now it's almost like he's pushing his darts . MVG will still be great but he's changing
I think his throwing action is a concern appears to be pushing them has really lost his natural smooth action having a big affect on consistency and mvg just doesn't seem to have that hunger he once had either
