Clearlake has a bad rep but I love it. I have been going up since I was a baby and my dad moved up there in 04. It is so beautiful and relaxing.
Hows the water level at lakeport ? Got a air bnb fo next month an hoping itz good fishing
Right now will be good for fishing. It's low in comparison to what it should be at this time of year. In the next month or 2 it might not be the best unless we get more rain.
@@CheyenneBlue oh ok thanks for the info
I think it's called school of fish!
is the lake in good conditions for swiming?
It depends on the area some areas we are seeing it bloom. I recommend being cautious and look out for the "pea soup" look. Blue lakes is ok Clearlake just investigate the area first that you plan on swimming. If the area is properly ariated then it's good.
Yes! If you like parasites, it's great.
i lived in hidden valley in the 90s first kid to go to coyote valley behind hardasters probably spelled that wrong. schools of blue gill btw
Why real estate is cheaper in this area?
I want hear ghost or scary stories
Thinking about moving "home" to retire. How's the crime rate?
I am a Clear Lake fan, and have been going there for almost 30 years. I have often and still think of moving there. The trick is to find the right place to stay. Poverty, racism, crackheads, combined with politics and way too much deferred maintenance have caused a continuing deterioration of housing, roads and businesses. The Buckingham, Paradise Cove, and Kono Tayee areas would be my only choice. A deceivingly good looking spot is the Wyndam timeshares and condos in Nice/Lucerne area. It is actually a prime target for vandalism and theft by the meth population surrounding the complex. Stayed there once for a family vacation. We had four vehicles and two boats vandalized 4 out of 7 nights and fishing gear stolen off of our patio. Local sheriff almost chuckled when we asked for a second police report. The resort had zero security, no lights on parking areas, no cameras and gates stayed wide open all night. The response we received when filing claims was “There is a sign in parking area that said Not responsible for theft or loss. Made me think the on-site manager was getting a cut. Otherwise, it use to be water skiing, and wakeboarding, now the beauty and the fishing bring me back. Thank you for your video and information, I really wish I could be more positive but it is what it is…
I completely understand. I'm so sorry to hear about the experience you had it really breaks my heart. These are issues I want to work on finding a solution to in the future. There's a lot more to what I want to do than real estate. I want to help build this area and help the community as a whole. I can say I've had a good experience in the areas I've lived. I listen to everything and everyone on things we need improvement on. I can say we've had a lot of development over the last few years. More than I've seen my entire life living here. Clearlake is building new roads and putting in roads that have desperately needed it everywhere. They've also put a lot of money into the local parks and infrastructure recently. Lakeport is also getting a new park. I can see the county is working more towards cleaning things up. I hope to find ways I can assist with this in the future.
