Grouting day is a hard day, even when your fully prepared. A lot to worry about, timing, weather etc etc. I'm wondering if Justin and Brad at Brickright are onto something using flowpoint? Still some pressure with timings, but not really on their hands and knees when applying and cleaning. And because they are cleaning off with the jetwash, they seem to get all the excess off. Personally I've been grouting the traditional way same as you've done in this video, but I am fed up with the amount of cleaning afterwards. I used the anthracite Fugapave flex grout last time and it was a nightmare to get clean, but have to say it set rock solid and really good consistent colour and jetwash proof.
Have you used flowpoint on porcelain Johnny?

Good points, everyone is different I personally feel the amount of water used in flowpoint when cleaning could be a problem for many the thing is there are so many on the market. Slurry grouts have been out for years but we’re usually in the commercial sector and unfortunately the training is not there many many diy and so called Pros are failing because of the lack of training. My heart is in my mouth when I think of who is using flowpoint and the time of year they use it.

@@GreentopLandscapes I know what you mean with the flowpoint, it's the reason I've never used it. I would be very nervous pouring flowpoint all over a beautiful new patio. Yep I think more training should be available to the pros, as there are just so many different products out there.

Why do landscapers insist in being tilers ,you have no trade experience or 5 years training ,please stick to plants

Really? There are many Landscapers that could be tilers and some tilers who could be Landscapers. Landscapers have Been paving and flagging surfaces for hundreds of years and because of the outdoor Porcelain trend there simply would not be enough outdoor tilers it’s about supply and demand and I am sure you understand this.

The methods used to lay outdoor porcelain is more suited to landscapers. I did a porcelain patio for a professional tiler who wouldn't have a go even in his own garden. You mention plants, but to be honest trades like Johnny don't really specialise in plants, they specialise in hard landscapes and there's a lot more to it than just laying tiles.
