Xemnas: Heroes from the realm of light. I will not allow it to end this way. Not yet. If light and darkness are eternal then surely we nothings must be the same. Eternal. Riku: You're right. Light and darkness are eternal. Nothing probably goes on forever too. But guess what Xemnas? Sora: That doesn't mean YOU'RE eternal. Xemnas: Ha ha ha. No more eternal than that radiance of yours.
Agh, I love what they do with the music in this scene. It feels so hopeless, the King of Evil himself has finally found you enough of an annoyance to fight you face to face. The first part of it feels like you should just give in, let it consume you; but as the fight goes on, there's more. Shadows and Light creep into the Nothingness, tangible forms amidst the pure white. Hope, in the form of balance. A sudden influx of strength, and you go all out. You fight until what you think is your very last breath, until Death itself drags you away from the fight still kicking. And then... it's over. You've won. And a new path begins.
Man. I still look back at this Battle, after You parry the lasers...Xemnas just comes up and lays ONE HELL OF A HIT on Riku man! First time I saw it, I was like, "GODDAMN!"
This version is more, filled with emotion, slow, dark, sad, reflecting the entire game and perfect for Xemnas. One of the best musics ever. All Themes of Xemnas are just too great. But this is Love
Once you get to this battle, it's almost like a relief. The four consecutive battles with Xemnas can wear you down a bit, and then you get this calmer music and a white setting. I love this fight.
Took some digging but it turns out his name is Masatsugu Shinozaki from the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. It’s credited to Masatsugu Shinozaki Group though, so apparently he leads a group of strings players who all contributed to the OST
***** Xemnas: Heroes from the realm of light, I will not allow it to end this way - not yet. If light and darkness are eternal, surely we nothings are the same! Eternal! Riku: You're right. Light and darkness are eternal. Nothing probably goes forever, too. But, guess what Xemnas? Sora: That doesn't mean YOU'RE eternal! Xemnas: [laughs] No more eternal than that radiance of yours... (Cues badass music)
Heir Yeah, but let us be able to play ALL the games. Kingodm Hearts 358/2 Days and Re:Coded were cutscenes that showed the entire story instead of letting us play them. That ticks me off since they were able to port Chain of Memories, a GAME BOY ADVANCED GAME, to the PS2. So why is it so hard to port two DS games to PS3 and 360?
Heroes from the realm of light.... I will not allow it to end this way, not yet. If light and darkness are eternal, then surely we nothings must be the same... Eternal.
To me, this music has a somewhat sad and depressing feeling. I could imagine this playing between two lifelong friends having to fight to the death when one has been corrupted with darkness and threatens to destroy the world, but he still has a thread of his true self. Even if you do beat him and save the world, you'll lose your best friend, the one you consider your flesh and blood, leaving behind a lingering sense of regret in your heart. Win or lose, you'll end up with something negative. Hell, this should play during the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke.
7 Year old me kept nearly dying by alternating one thumb between each button. 12 year old me smartened up and used 2 index fingers and flawlessly countered everything
+nube1oscuras i remember dying on that part so many times just because i had no idea you had to press X too aha, so it would only be riku who would not lose hp. When i beat Xemnas i still had no idea about it, i just healed right around his hp barrier when he did it and i hoped for the best.
Still one of the best final boss fights in video game imo! Most of the time (especially in FF) the last boss is an amalgamation of all sorts of themes and emotions, but this, was quite the opposite. After going through everything, you fight the final boss in its base form and duke it out. All that pretense, all the build-up and it's just the final boss, you and your best friend. Then... the final boss traps the main character and you play the BEST FRIEND!?!?!?! HOLY SH!!!!! xD
Who also had this song running through their minds when he does his desperation *Etheral Dome* attack and you had to block everything??? Me:IT'S RAINING LASERS (Halleluyah) IT'S RAINING LASERS!!!!!
Songs with this melody include: Darkness of the Unknown (all parts) L'Oscurita Dell Ignotto (Darkness of the Unknown in Italian) Forze Dell Oscurita (combo of Forze Del Male and l'Oscurita Dell Ignotto) That's all I can think of right now...
this was my "cloud vs sephiroth" moment, you know that moment at the end of ff7? yeah I never got around to playing ff7, never was into jrpg's, but i can't deny that it had one hell of an impactful, engaging ending. in a void, just you, and the final boss.
This music is calm, totally different from what we are used to as a final boss music, yet, for those that played every single game that are prequels to this one, this music is perfect to make your emotions flow against him, and remember every single misdeed he has done against the main protagonists in those games. Maybe his line "Anger and hate are supreme." weren't thought up for the reason we first thought they meant, to express his idea of power, but to actually taunt the player?
He's like Ansem and young xehanort. They're all too hot to die.. and for some reason he looked more attractive in 3D. I love his VAs English voice. (idiot fangirl here)
Xemnas: Heroes from the realm of light… I will not allow it to end this way-- not yet. If light and darkness are eternal, then surely us nothings must be the same. Eternal. Riku: You're right. no, he will still have akeyblade. he had unintentionally inherited riku's destined keyblade when he gave into darkness. now he's a true keyblade wielder. besides i never said he was going to give his heart to xemnes, all i was saying was that xemnes seemed aware that sora had more than one heart
It sounds like just about all of the fights with Xemnas have the Hazardous Highway tune in them. Which is AMAZING since Hazardous Highway is my favorite song from the game.
That's actually not true. Even if Ven's heart didn't fuse with Sora's, he would still get the Keyblade because of his friends. And plus, Riku gave into the darkness.
I keep seeing a number of comments about the Riku part of the battle and I figured that I should mention that his copy basically goes in a straight line. Run up then go behind Xemnas. His double SHOULD be near you but won't be able to stop you. Dark Aura works if he gets too cliose to
Anger and hate...are supreme. We shall go together! Why don't you vanish? Can you spare...a heart? There's no such thing...as light! see, those could've been the best quotes I have ever heard in a video game, but the rest of the story managed to ruin them entirely. A mean, you had a villain with what could've been a tragic story about losing his heart and forgetting everything that he once was ("Unfortunately...I don't"), a fate which he is literally incapable of comprehending, and having only one solution to appease his own blank suffering, which results in his own destruction. What do we get? A generic evil guy... nice...
And what's even worse is that the music seems to emphasize that idea. I know everyone sees it as a hopeless tune for the player, but I'm the kind of person who saw it as a hopeless tune for Xemnas. Everything he did, *everything* is now gone. Nothing he did to get rid of you worked, and now he's left alone, in the void, unable to save himself from the empty pain that he's felt for who knows how long. He can't even *feel* that pain! Knowing that he's going to die hollow, there's only one more idea of consolation he can give himself: he can take you down with him.
"Anger and hate are supreme."

One of the best musics ever.

Best song ever for a final boss theme beautiful indeed

i wonder who the awesome violin player in all of the kh music is...

Definitely the best final boss 4ever
So... It seems your hearts have lead you to obliteration.
Perhaps it doesn't pay to be too loyal to one's heart.
I will be sure to remember that.
Roxas theNobody "Roxas. Now there was a worthy candidate."

0:16 to 0:24 that tune is in just about every Terra/Xehanort theme.

Still my favorite kingdom hearts final boss theme
Playing this theme while trying to get a gummi blueprint from Pinocchio having to exit and talk to him 30 times in a row. This is the real final boss
Can you spare...a heart? Most chilling line period.

Flaming Ahri all the reason why Aqua is the one who deserved to smack Xemnas into submission and return Terra to her.
Beautiful.
Can you Spare....a Tart?
still my favorite Kingdom hearts Boss theme & villain
Same it still hasn't been topped
will never be topped because it ends sora's and riku's arcs so brilliantly
U know when xemnas did that ultimate laser attack, did anyone else just hold their controller differently and mash with both thumbs?
Yes, that was what I did too :P
Yup

Guard. Anger and hatred, you must be a maximum.
“We Shall Go Together”
You fight three times and each game. He's the true villain of the game. Forgot xenonrort

No more eternal than that radiance of yours

Perfect comparison to Xemnas' death quote, don't ask where this character is from 'cause most of you will figure it out
"Fucking……… scissor blade………"
Nope, sorry man. keep guessing if you want.
Michael Wellman Is it kill la kill related?
Finally someone gets it......
They didn't. I just thought it would be a....... Nevermind, this conversation is over.
Michael Wellman I get what you mean. its similar
anger and hate are supreme.
we SHALL all together
You shall go together...
This phrase, is... ETERNALLY TRUE...
"Can you spare a heart?"
''Anger and Hate are Supreme''
Yes, he was.
"No more eternal than that radiance of yours"....
omg I was looking for this for so long Q_Q

Let us go together!
We Shall Go Together
Why won't you vanish?
I am searching for another song, it has the same melody(violin I think) as this one. Can someone help me find it ?
Xemnas: Heroes from the realm of light… I will not allow it to end this way-- not yet.
If light and darkness are eternal, then surely us nothings must be the same.
Eternal.
Riku: You're right. Light and darkness are eternal. Nothing probably goes on forever too. But guess what, Xemnas.
Sora: That doesn't mean YOU'RE eternal!
Xemnas: Hehehe… No more eternal than that radiance of yours.
Mandatory reminder that it's Demyx Time
"Can you spare...a heart"
Long painful story involving two children that really never should have been born.
Anger and Hate are Soup Cream
You shall bowl together
This fight...was just pure badassary
Then after all this you realize that he was just holding back...alot.
And my favorite line there no such thing as light :)
We shall go to together... Pierce! Pierce!

besides i never said he was going to give his heart to xemnes, all i was saying was that xemnes seemed aware that sora had more than one heart
Can You Spare a Heart? Why won't you banish? You Shall Go Together. Mine! Here! Fire! Cursed KeeeyBlaade!!!
It sounds like just about all of the fights with Xemnas have the Hazardous Highway tune in them. Which is AMAZING since Hazardous Highway is my favorite song from the game.
This battle was so random, i just figured that they all got sucked into the black hole from the previous fight :P
best boss battle ever
"Why don't you vanish?"

Pirce pirce pirce Ready FIRE
I literally paused, flipped the controller on its side, and then used both my thumbs to mash those two buttons... xD
Xemnas: Why don't you vanish.
"Anger and hate, are supreme!"
well we all know Xemnas is now an edgy 9-12 year old's idol
His coat explains that he likes to eat Oreo so bad
Hearts Are Power

"How can you be sure your memories are not just copies of another's?"
Well technically Roxas killed Xion... because Xion forced him to.
CAN YOU SPARE...A HEART?!?!
Question:
Does "all the organization members" include Xemnas?
Because if so, your statement is false.
He just doesn't quit does he? I actually respect that and i take him seriously
Actually he didn't just kill her. He arranged for her death and then drove her insane.
That's actually not true. Even if Ven's heart didn't fuse with Sora's, he would still get the Keyblade because of his friends. And plus, Riku gave into the darkness.
xemnas was the one thst caused the battl ein the first place.

I need that coat.
You need to its worth it. Bit short but worth it for the gameplay
Cursed Keyblade
Then we break those 5 health bars.
First time I lost against this one was because I forgot that Riku wasn't immortal.
Anger and hate...are supreme.
