Me and my brother were on my way home from my boxing club in high cross (Tottenham ham & district ABC) on the bus. They use to open the gates about 15min before the end of the game. We jumped off the bus and sneaked in. We sneaked away down to the front, about level with the goal line. We were just in time to see the winning goal. God, were aged 10. & 11.
My poor grandad was locked out,he still tells me about it. His first game at Highbury was in 1949 and his last at the Emirates was in 2015,couldn’t climb the steps anymore 😢
I tried to get to this game and got to Wood Green station but people were walking BACK from White Hart Lane saying they couldn't get near the ground. They reckon over 100,000 tried to get into that game! COYG!
And the pub they talk about where they ended up is the White Hart in Southgate N.14. Forever spoken about. Most of the players lived in N.14 and N.21 when 3 bed semi's were considered up market for footballers of the day.
Wonderful evening! I remember listening to it on my radio! RIP Ray Kennedy.

We won the league at shite Hart Lane not once 1971 but twice 2004 ....fous! Eat that!
And undefeated
Fantastic night - managed to get in, but the ground was so packed, I couldn't see the goal! I only knew we'd scored because of the noise!
I was there.
Arsenal fans took over White Hart Lane that day only about 5,000 spurs fans at the game..
Hello
I never knew Wolves were third...
Wolves were a good good side that year .
Would spurs give us the title again? I doubt that.
But it's not bad to hope.
