while I do say a lot of don'ts in this video, do note that it's very hard to actually damage your Fumo by washing it, so don't be afraid of cleaning them! All of the measures I mention are precautions to ensure a long and healthy Fumo life, your Fumo is not going to die if you mess up something or don't follow everything I do here, in the very worst and super rare cases things can be restitched and glue can be reapplied
for stains that really don't want to come off with conventional methods, I'd suggest rubbing alcohol or even a couple drops of color-safe bleach (only use on spots and not the entire Fumo) depending on the type of stain different things can work, like hydrogen peroxide and dishwashing soap, if you know what kind of stain you got you can usually google what works best for it and use that on those spots
This is why I'm afraid to wash a bootleg, because bootleg have glue and most are poorly sewn, so I won't be able to glue and sew like how it was before washing
I agree. I'm looking for the best bootleg fumo i can buy but i cant decide cuz there are TOO MANY of them on aliexpress. I cand decide. All looks same on photos but not in reality.
Ayo thanks (I as a 12 yo who wanted a fumo and got one [bootleg cuz' don't have enough money or time to buy an og one also i bought it by myself] I act uaslly don't have it already but i wanted to know how to wash it when it arrives) I loved this simple tutorial my marisa now won't be really dirty ( as my other plushies) when she arrives home.
I do the same things for those as in the video since most hats don't use glue you can also even put them in the washing machine (up to 40C/105F, gentle treatment settings and/or put them in just by themselves)
don't squeeze from the sides and only do it from the front, that way you don't pop the hair off and stuff, obviously just don't do it too strongly if you don't do that, it'll just take longer to dry, your Fumo will be fine either way mind that plush stuffing has a chance to get shifted because it was soggy for a prolonged time, however I doubt that Fumos have that problem
@@VeysTheGreat So, fumo's mouth is black and after brushing so much, it got slightly black dye around its mouth. I don't know, maybe it'll fix itself when it dries off. I just realised, you got kinda the same in the video towards the end.
@@VeysTheGreat ah maybe i should've asked 1st then, I dont have a blowdryer so i left her outside to dry on the sun, I'd have made the mistake of trying the dryer for sure. Is it fumo abuse to have to hang her to a clothesline by the ankle since i didnt have a surface to set her on...?
I haven't done that but I don't think it'd be Fumo abuse that's usually only bad for really big plushies where their weight will stretch them too much, Dekas maybe (I don't have one so I wouldn't know)
@@VeysTheGreat how do i break shampoo, though. dont we technically break it all the time? if swooshing or tearing was the same as breaking (which i think it is) then it would make sense. but we’re supposed to break shampoo
finally, a normal fumo cleaning video without fumo abuses
Why is this comment so funny but true at the same time

I have a bootleg koishi and she gets stained no matter how soft I wash her, any advice?

yikesy
my mother bought Rin and Len plushies and they are bootlegs
(I'm not a TouHou kid but the fumo plush videos are so funny)
Thanks bro
My Koishi hasn't showered in weeks
Bootleg or not. A fumo is a fumo.
That is what my bootleg fumo wants to hear.
I agree. I'm looking for the best bootleg fumo i can buy but i cant decide cuz there are TOO MANY of them on aliexpress. I cand decide. All looks same on photos but not in reality.
I agree
She looks so nice and clean now! 😮
I finally have my first fumo and I really need this. Thanks!
This helped me a lot
I already messed up the glue on cirnos hair so it’s split lol
How to wash Fumo:
16:48
How to wash BootlegFumo: 2:30 🔥

I will never understand how simple tutorials take so long sometimes 😭
Very cute and wholesome :)

Frgot to say, arrived at 27 of febraury, sorry for the giga late update, Ze marisa is now trapped hehehe!
New update, bought her a bee costume 5-4 months ago, the stinky marisa still hasn't taken a bath.
Update: she getting an official fumo friend. Soon.
Huh..
Alice, What did you do to marisa.
fumo
Very useful, gotta go cleaning my cirno now
very good and useful video 10/10 my fumos are clean
very useful, thanks a lot!
Dont own a Fumo but, i will get one for christmas. Good for a bootleg though?
yes yes, give it lots of love ok?
what about an hat? (preferably yuyuko's)
I do the same things for those as in the video

@@VeysTheGreat Thank you! Just got my fumo recently~
yayyy that is awesome, have very much fun you two
My fumo's mouth got a little black spread from it. How do I get it off?
do you mean like a stain or what?

sounds/looks like dye bleed, usually happens first time washing anything fabric, goes away on subsequent washes
@@VeysTheGreat Oh! Thanks.
Ayoye is that Maurice Kris-aimé fumo ??????????????
Maria kiss me Fumo
hmm i think i screwed up
As a Bootleg fumo owner i am very afraid to touch them with water at all, will a quick dip in water ruin or dissolve anything
no that's super unlikely
Alright thank you, maybe i can get my Bootleg Reimu to look clean again then.
My bootleg Marisa's hat falls easily, do i need to wash that too?
up to you? If you feel like it needs cleaning you can go for it
Hey man i did all the steps and made sure to squeeze all the water out of the fumo, how long will it take to dry?
10-20 hours, rough estimate
mors :)
my lil Baka is clean now. thx m8. any tips on the best way to dry them?
you're welcome, I let them dry on a towel, it takes like a day
don't use a hairblower or dryer
@@VeysTheGreat ah maybe i should've asked 1st then, I dont have a blowdryer so i left her outside to dry on the sun, I'd have made the mistake of trying the dryer for sure. Is it fumo abuse to have to hang her to a clothesline by the ankle since i didnt have a surface to set her on...?

Could I put mine in the dryer or will that be bad?
I wouldn't recommend that, I never tested it but usually you don't do that with plushies
@@VeysTheGreat Oh okay, thank you for the video and info!
if you really want to use the dryer i think you should put it in a pillowcase or some kind of sack
Leave it dry... where!? HELP
any place that can get wet is fine lol, if you don't have such a place just put it on a towel and put the towel on a table or something
is this in greece?
no, a fair bit further West
@@VeysTheGreatItaly?
Germany
i used shampoo to try it out and now my fumo smells disgusting but ok :)
your shampoo might be broken

Stinky fumo

I own like 16 OGs but nt
I also have a bootleg marisa, this will be useful
