I don’t think they actually did this to be honest. It could permanently damage the play button which they wouldn’t risk, and the box had tape covering the address (the same tape which was on the sides, implying he had already opened it and repackaged it with his own tape)

For those wondering, UA-cam didn't send the play button like that. You can see how easily the dirt breaks. The dirt would be much more broken if it had been delivered and transported like that.

To be fair, even if it's made up it still makes for a more interesting story than "I put dirt on my UA-cam Play Button". It probably blurs the line a bit between what is and isn't clickbait, because it doesn't contradict what you see in the video. Think of sketch comedy videos with titles that say "I did [insert unrealistic thing]". They may not have done this really, but their video shows it happening.
