I loved how Bakugo feels responsible for All Might’s retirement because he thought that he got kidnapped because he was too weak. That’s a great parallel with Izuku where he felt responsible for All Might’s retirement because he wasn’t capable of saving Bakugo from being kidnapped, which led to All Might fighting All For One. That’s some great stuff that strikes at the heart of the dichotomy between the two characters. One idolizes All Might because of his strength while the other idolizes All Might for his heroism.

That spin let me know that Deku was really working at it, because to pull that footwork off mid battle...it was impressive. But I relate to Bakugo the most. From day one he's been the kidnapped victim repeatedly. And to be so powerful but still have to be constantly rescued makes you feel weak. And then to feel like you only survived because All Might gave up everything, that's heavy for an adult, let alone a kid

I was waiting for this episode. A thug almost shed a tear or two. Bakugou's character development and Deku's footwork were both beautiful. I do like that they had Bakugou win because it still makes sense that Midoriya's playing catch-up.

I hate when people do not understand bakugo. Put it like this bakugo has had legs since he was young and has been practicing soccer/futbol for years upon years to go to this private highschool. The summer before applying another student he knows who did not have legs somehow gets legendary legs and is able to contend because someone gave him legendary legs of a line of professional soccer players. Like imagine how you would feel if you put all of this work and someone magically is better than you or can contend because it was just given to them. I feel bakugo and he is more of a realistic character I feel than deku. Trust me almost all characters have some flesh on them in this anime because this is one of the best anime. I just enjoy how they explore bakugo as a very determined kid, who strives for number one and talks his sh*t because he puts the work in. The way he is with people on his team is very similar to MJ because jordan almost in a way put pressure(bully) and stress on his teammates to push them. You may not like it but people do not hate MJ now after his greatness and his teammates thank him for the push he put on them. All in all I am saying bakugo is not a bad guy and deku is pretty pampered in this series and everyone feeds into it a little too much.

I am a very skilled soccer player and my friends and comrades are used to me scoring goals for the team and there was that one finale where I just wasn´t good enough and couldn´t score so we lost in the end. After that I felt the same like Bakugou. I blamed myself for letting my team down and didn´t know how to express my feelings to others. I really saw myself in Bakugou this episode.
I´m so happy that Bakugou won. It´s easy for people to understand and sympathize with the "weak" people, the mavericks,underdogs who try to get to the top but no one actually does it with the "strong" ones who are used to be seen at the top. No one in real life cares about their feelings which is really sad in my opinion. It´s like with people/topmodels who are super beautiful. Everyone thinks because of their beauty they got no problems in getting a relationship for exampleor other things but ignore the fact that it´s harder for them to trust someone because they get a lot of attention very easily. And because of all of that I really wanted Bakugou to win against Midoriya.

At this point in the storyline i think is where Bakugou and Midoriya mirror each other's character development where Bakugo is Strong but lacks heart, and Midoriya has heart but lacks strength, so this is where they meet in the middle and their character developments take a different route

I think people fail to realize how Bakugo's Quirk works, and the side effects to it just like every one else, and what he is. Bakugo will always be the better fighter, and he's much sharper than people credit him. He's sharper than Midoriya in most cases and his Quirk has made his body extremely durable and used to traumatic damage in his body. His Quirk actually is a good rival Quirk. His explosions have made the boy superhuman durable and as his Explosions become stronger so will he and so will his speed and control. When Deku with Full Cowl activated used his Gauntlet he nearly dislocated his shoulder due to the pressure
and force his own Quirk recoils. This goes with alot of Quirks, as you become stronger with your Quirk your body evolves to adapt. Remember, Deku has more fighting experience than Bakugo, despite having his Quirk for only a year, but he has teachers helping him, as Bakugo learns on his own new techs through observation and application. Both will become superpower houses.

Bakugo was able to fight one on one with a weaken all might during the pair training...he took all mights hit and still fought back. He also dodged all of the villains attacks back before delivery and the others saved him....so in terms of battle experience he is far superior to deku. If u actually looked at deku his way of fighting is super simple. He relys highly on all mights quirk and it took him forever and a lot of hints to figure out he could use his legs for crying out loud.

Deku highly relies on OFA quirk... So we gonna act like bakugo doesn't rely on his quirk? Are we also gonna forget a lot of the shit deku did was in fact without much use of the quirk... (The sports festival) coming up with plans such as during the license exam. Of course he won't be more of an experienced fighter or stronger than bakugo, dude literally had his quirk for about a year... Don't make it seem like deku is some helpless child who can't do shit without a quirk.
@@tyresexgamesx6976 deku does rely a lot on his quirk...And yes bakugou does too, but it has also been proven and shown that bakugou knows when his quirk won't be effective and is a tough opponent without his quirk too...even aizawa and allmight, said in combat bakugou is a prodigy...And you definitely shouldn't bring up sports festival in your argument...The entire arc was asspull after asspull to make izuku seem relevant...The only two times he did a good job was the fight against todoroki which he lost and the cavilary battle, where tokoyami was clutch.

I'm simply trying to state that deku isn't as weak and useless as others think he is regardless if he wasn't a prodigy someone who had a quirk since birth and trained would still be better than deku since he had his for only a year. Other than combat deku has proven time and time again he is a better strategist, analysis skills and leadership better than bakugo to be honest. I'm pretty positive deku could have made it into UA without going into the hero aspect.

I talked on one of the earlier videos about Bakugo's psychosis as a result of people in his life constantly feeding into his ego. This episode is the result of Bakugo coming to terms with reality while dealing with a lot of that. He still has the inferiority complex because of Deku's sudden jump in ability and status, and he's dealing with that deep-seated fear that came from feeling vulnerable when his quirkless friend tried helping him (which made him feel helpless, the opposite of what everyone was telling him).
Now add in the paranoia of thinking that he's the reason that All Might lost his power. Give Bakugo credit though, because he's pushing through A LOT of the negative stuff he's built up. He's definitely not a second Endeavor, he's self-aware enough that he's finally realizing something subconsciously - that Deku isn't his enemy.
Now that they're more traditional rivals, I'd fully expect to see them make each other exponentially better.
RabidDogma not to mention all the failures he’s experienced throughout the three seasons, Bakugo really has been through a lot. I’ve loved his character since the second half of the first season

Bakugo doesn't need to learn anything. He will do things his own way and hopefully, be able to evolve into his own kind of hero, instead of just another All Might copycat.
This episode brought to public many of the well-kept pent-up anger some people clearly had against Bakugo. Interesting...And here I thought we were over that after all the depth he has shown us throughout seasons 2 and 3. Guess not.

Bakugou is inherently better then deku at fighting as he thinks faster then deku and is stronger in terms of strength and speed that was made clear during this fight and the first fight they had 2. saying someone could win if he had 100 percent is a bad excess because bakugou ain’t going to sit around letting him get stronger their proper rivals now they will grow together also deku quick has a weakness it has a set limit while bakugou can be very creative with his quick and doesn’t have a set limit

Good early catch Abi; seeing that All Might stopped Aizawa. This is not a battle for "power" per-say; it was, like almost all shonen fights about battle of ideologies. Both Bakugo and Midoirya want to become the #1 Hero for different reasons. Bakugo looks at All Might as he will always win because he has the strength, talent etc. Midoriya looks at All Might as someone that will save the day with a smile. Which is the right way the right path?

people are so quick to judge bakugo. yeah, he’s not the nicest person. he’s not the most kindest person but don’t discount the fact that, he could’ve became a villain. he had the actual opportunity but he stared forward because ultimately he is the same as midoriya. he wants to be a hero. bakugo actually has reason to be upset because he thinks he’s being looked down on and with addition to all mights flat out favoritism towards deku it doesn’t make it any better. bakugos point of view is that someone who was looking at his back, is now in front of him and he didn’t know where or why it happened. that sucks. to know that someone who was always behind you and always envied the dirt you walked on, is standing and staring down at you. he’s still a boy and he still has to learn. the reason that some people hate bakugo is because he isn’t some perfect, kind to everyone, stuck up character. he has problems, he has insecurities, he gets hurt and he cries just like everybody else. bakugo deserves it just as much as deku, because he’s worked just as hard. for those looking at him with those hateful eyes, please try to understand before judging him.
