I used to sail optimist(Opti) when I was13, I have a bronze medal in Asian Games 2012, after which I totally quit and started studying engineering.
God I miss sailing so much, once I even sailed 29er.

@@whynesspower I've won the championship of my country aswell in the opti class. Currently i sail a 470 and the same is going to happen to me. I'm going to have to quit sailing, even though i never thought this day would happen :/.

Fortunately, in my life I've had the chance to see Argentinian olympic champions. But this ocation was the most emotional and happiest that i've ever seen. Totally deserved, in a wonderful city as Río and an iconic place as Bahía de Guanabara.

It's just like Holand in beach voley. A couple from Holand was first place in the world championship of beach voley. Sorry for my english.

austria has some awesome lakes; one even that forms seasonally which becomes the clearest one in the world!-)

Shame there aren't more female helms as the crew does most of the physical work on these cats. This mixed crew idea is great.
It was expected that female helm would be the norm but it hasn't turned out that way. The girls must be too strong and skilled with the sail handling! Anyway, I'm a fan of the whole concept.
The rig is certainly easier than the old Tornado Sport… that was a beast! Obviously a very good choice of boat and exciting racing. So glad they reinstated the catamarans in the Olympics as its good for all the cat classes.
GB did have a female helm she won a gold in yngling in Beijing but she pulled out in 2014 ship somebody else replaced her and her old partner did the helm
I was talking about the Nacra F18 class not the other classes of boat in the Olympics. This is the only mixed boat.
The sailing schools for talents prefere schooling boys since it's easier for them to gain weight.
