Every single one of these tracks... Is a CONSISTENT shock to my system! How do you do it?! I mean... Rayman music is good, but it's usually a lot less... Cathartic. And I LOVE Rayman's OSTs! The original compositions by Remi Gazel are some of my favorite tracks in a video game of all time!

Okay I got a question. How the heck do you make a soundtrack THIS good?! This is probably the best fangame soundtracks I ever heard, even more better than Sonic After the Sequel's soundtrack. Amazing work on the music and the game, so much dedication like this is unbelievable... Hope you finish the game at some point, and I'll be glad to play it.
My point still stands, though I mainly come here for the final track. I wish there's a way I can download the music.

"Fun in the snow" popped up in one of my dreams so vibrantly while I was travelling. Just beautiful, no words can describe it really.
The Ice Volcano - Centre reminds me a bit of Now You See Me soundtrack.

I.fucking.love. calm tunes. Those tracks with loooong tones and almost like sound effects that sound like they echo from far away. I love this stuff especially for learning programming.
I wish there was more of it and a name for it so I could find more games like it that doesn't just have it in the beginning and then goes to an upbeat song

The greatness starts at 15:50, but damn, that echo at 15:55 hits me hard everytime, it's genius.
"Race of a Legendary Misconception" is literally my favorite track in this OST, never gets old even after the continuous reduxing of it (was it the 3rd one this time? I remember hearing it on 12 & 31).
Really bloody hope this thing succeeds unlike so many that have fallen to the shadows.

made a comment while listening to the video, but the fucking autoplay deleted it. The first track gives me anxiety and the second track is my favorite so far. 4:06 really captures the old Rayman 1 feeling while giving it the perfect twist of a newer more modern game. I REALLY like this video, you can hear a vast improvement from the older soundtrack parts

With Sonic Mania being made by independent studios and not SEGA, I don't see a reason for Ubisoft to not accept this game to be officially released, but we'll have to see... great music, and good luck with the project!
If they are working on a 3d rayman game as they are kinda stating, I could see them create a lot of trouble towards this game. I guess adsolution looked into this though

Not gonna lie, the graphics and levels in the trailers and gameplay doesn't do this music service. It's a whole different beast.
This is the stuff that deserves Rayman 2 HD remaster and Rayman 3 whimsy level of beauty.
The music here is wonderful, and the sounds and effects are wonderful like a real paid professional.
How is this made? Through software or actual instruments and sounds? I want to know.
Hence why I haven't uploaded anything aside from music for it for a very long time, I really want to do the vision justice.
I use a lot of real instruments layered with software ones - the singing glasses in the first track were recorded (I have a separate video on that specifically). Choirs in the 1st, 5th and 6th tracks are my voice. The flute, oboe and guitar in the 6th track are also real. In the percussion, the snare drums are real and the rest are virtual. I'll try and always incorporate at least one recorded instrument into a given piece, because even just one does wonders for the overall authenticity of the piece.
I'm effectively a professional freelancer now, trying to find some beautiful student films to score to. I'll have some new ROTD music coming out very soon too.

Have to remind myself it's fine for now.
Can't believe you can play so many instruments. I only got a guitar that's mainly for people to learn to play on and the strings are almost 35 years old so tuning it is almost impossible.
But yes. Any musician or first hand experience knows real instruments can't be beat. Glad someone is so versatile and skilled while caring about quality.

Man, I am so happy, that this project is still going. Seriously, this is like a childhood dream for me coming true and I am so excited to play the game, although it is probably going to take a long time until then.
I have a question though: How are you going to publish this? I mean, if you sell it, then Ubisoft is probably going to take it down or something. But seeing all the hard work you put into this... you would deserve getting money for this.
Ubisoft has never taken down a fanwork before, so I can't imagine they would take down this one, especially for a franchise like Rayman. I would love to be able to have it published once it's done, but if they say no, I guess it'll have to be free.

Is there anywhere to download any of this? Some of these tracks are just incredible. "Revenge of the Dark" is meant to be a 'main theme' of sorts I'm guessing? It's certainly striking enough to be one.

How long have you been working on this project now? You're working with some other artists as well right?
The question of "how long" is a little vague, since it hasn't been a linear progression, as I "started" when I had next to no idea what I was doing.

Ubisoft has never ordered a C&D on any fanwork before, so I doubt they would. If they did, I would be there first, and I would get just as much publicity for it!
At least all us true rayman fans will get to enjoy the game. also ubisoft seem to endorse fan art and such so I don't believe that'll happen, who knows maybe they'll pull a capcom.

The game itself isn't open-world, though some individual levels may be presented as open-world. The levels will progress immediately from one to the next, but you can return to the level select at any time.

Ahah, you're totally right! Subconscious inspiration ftw. The original version of this track is in Part 6, made back in 2010, right around when I was listening to The Resistance a lot.
