Great songs and I love your reactions! But oh boy, there are at least 6 more songs (with the deluxe) that are some of my all time favs!

First time they played in my city, I got to meet them by the merch. We all spoke and hung out for a little. I told Nik that Open eye would be a great opening track for the setlist. Next time they came through they started with that. Pretty epic.

Wow, surprising that Nija won. For the longest time, Rasen was winning.
Since I voted for Nija I am happy.
I think the reason Descent got fewer votes is because of it being a newer album and the fact that you were asking for the next album to listen to.
Then you might listen to Descent at a later point.

I think part of the reason Descent didn't do as well in the poll was Nija stealing some of the votes. i switched my vote because it was obvious there was no chance it would win. I know I've mentioned it before, but make sure to do the deluxe version of the album with the bonus tracks. There is a live studio performance of The Shadowing and a live performance video of Mute The Silent they did for SiriusXM too.

The early Christmas present has arrived! forgot the fresh milk and cookies lol. The Grinch that almost stole Nija by 1% 😲 A psychological psyche artistry portal that's subjectivity ambiguous-unambiguous and ontology-epistemology sentient compartmentalize criterion which excogitate conceptualize the organism holistic cult habitat experience exsistence. It's mythological odyssey with OC's musicality catalogue-discography :)
The lyrical themes of "Day Of The Cloud". OC describes the struggles of the mind and the challenges that come with searching for a better life. The lyrics are filled with symbolism, as the "clouds" refer to the dark thoughts that overshadow the vocalist's mind. The first verse sets the tone for the song, describing how the vocalist has been taken by the darkest trails of the mind and has encountered many obstacles, although nothing seems to stop the clouds. The search for a better life is also mentioned, and the unknown soul walking past the vocalist hints at the isolation and loneliness that comes with such a search. The second verse is more introspective, expressing the fear and fragility of the human mind. The vocalist notes that their mind is bound and their hands are tied, suggesting suicidal thoughts and possibly feelings of hopelessness. The ghosts of the past haunt them, as they have lost a crucial piece of themselves, perhaps referring to a tragic event or trauma that has affected them deeply. The chorus repeats questions asking if everything is okay and if one has missed the point of living, implying a sense of concern and doubt. The final verse delves deeper into the mind, painting a picture of laughing, lonely nights and whispering thoughts. The vocalist is unsure of what to tell themselves, and the clouds seem to have been there since the beginning (the day of the cloud). They end by declaring that they are one of the violent and one of the silent, perhaps referring to inner turmoil and a sense of powerlessness. Overall, the song conveys a sense of despair and the feeling of being weighed down by dark thoughts.
The lyrical themes of "Behold", are a reflection on the struggles of everyday life, urging the listener to awaken from a metaphorical "sleep" and behold their future. The opening lines of the song suggest that the vocalist has come to accept the reality of the situation in front of them ("in the essence of the fire, I'm realizing that this is life now"). The vocalist then reflects on their struggle to maintain their sanity ("I've tried so hard to keep this of feeling sane, mind and body") while keeping their inner demons at bay ("I've tried so hard to keep the demons in me"). The second verse of the song delves further into the idea of societal breakdown ("the fallen society, the downfall of you and me"), and hints at the search for a greater meaning in life ("in the white halls, we are searching"). The chorus ("I am what I am, behold my future, I've tried to wake up, but life ain't easy") serves as a rallying cry for the listener to take control of their future, despite the difficulties that may lie ahead. The song then takes a darker turn, with references to medication ("the pills are for sleeping, this is what you'll need"), a sense of overwhelming mortality ("death is certain, nothing else more can be"), and the idea that society may only offer a false sense of comfort ("the white robe ideal"). Ultimately, "Behold" is a powerful call to action, encouraging the listener to awaken to their full potential and take control of their own lives. ♫ United Kingdom 🇬🇧
