If you really care for birds make sure you tie the bottle to the roof with wire. Hot glucWILL NOT hold the weight of nestlings especially after rain!

The roof will get soggy when it rains since it's card board and if that's school glue then the rain will also wash all that grass off which by the way will die rot and fall off anyways you should of water proofed the food with some hydrophobic spray for tents or shoes, then used a glue that can't be washed away and a fake plastic grass. It's pretty don't get me wrong the idea is a great one just with major flaws. The birds could only use it until it rained and then they would get wet by the soggy roof that will break apart and fall off.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. But if they are going to waterproof it, they need to be sure it's non-toxic so that the birds won't get sick or die. Especially any babies that may hatch in there.

Always remember ! If you making a little bird's house or nest always make it's entrance small, just 1 Centimetre bigger than thickness of sparrows or any little bird's body. Otherwise any big bird like Eagles, Crow, Maina, or other predators like Squairal can enter & destroy it's Eggs 🥚 or Chicks 🐥. One more thing. Always make the rooftop (Sealing) or upper part of Birds house or nest must be made by waterproof material not just cardboard.

I thought the same thing. I was wondering why he didn't use the spout part of the plastic bottle with the lid. the cut a hole through the lid to hand the bird house. The grass is cool but will brown or wash off in the rain. Need to seal it and protect the house some how.
