- Learn how to measure the wattage of your Mac with the system_profiler command. Specifically, the SPPowerDataType tells us AC charger information including if a charger is connected and whether or not it’s charging as well as battery information including state of charge, full charge capacity, and cycle count.

title is misleading. This is the maximum power the adapter can deliver. This is not how much power the mac is currently using.
Interesting the stuff you teach Tony, keep it up! It was nice meeting you in Istanbul.
Thanks Gustavo! 😃
thanks for sharing knowledge, man! I have a macbook and its keys shift control option aren't working and I'd like to reset the snc using the terminal if it's possible... could you help me to initiate the battery charging using a terminal command? my mother language is not English ok. Thanks in advance.
I like your teaching video! By the way, besides only checking the battery status, do you know the terminal command to force mac to charge battery since "Charge battery to full now" function seems to have been removed from the battery icon menu.
Nice video.
I think that is the max capability of the charger, I have a cable with a built-in meter and it doesn't match the wattage figure from system_profiler
What does your meter read?
@@TonyTeachesTech started at 45W dropping to zero as the Macbook Air M1 charged. system_profiler always says 60W (it is a 60W RavPower charger)
Will you change domain name provider now that google domain just sold to squarespace?
@@techbulb3440 I'm not sure yet. Still weighing my options. I might make a video about this soon.
