I haven't found that if you watch the video close the plastic acts more like a sheet of rubber when its still under heat Im not saying it wouldn't happen with different types of plastic but in those cases I would do a couple of test pieces to get an average time and use a digital heat gun
This system uses a domestic vacuum cleaner they are great for plastics up to 1.5mm thick after that you really need a vacuum pump tank based system to get a strong enough vacuum for thicker materials like 3mm abs often used in storm trooper armour I do make that type of system as well checkout ua-cam.com/video/znLNCyApHhE/v-deo.html its a little steam punk and costs around £600 but that's a lot less than a £20.000 commercial system hope this helps Thanks Mike
I actually have one of these forming kits and they are really good.
Thank you for posting!
Great video and live the heat box
Thanks 👍
Hello, could you tell me the specifications or characteristics of the vacuum cleaner you use?

Looks amazing and something I am interested in using, how does the vacuum work, as on the larger setups, they use compressed air.

do you sell plans/kits for your vacuum former? if so, is there a link?...
No sorry I have a small business selling them on Etsy and eBay
@@michaelgreenhouse2044 link?...
Hello! Thank you for sharing. How do you connect the vaccum?
Its just a piece of flexi hose that joins a standard vacuum cleaner hose to A tube that comes out of the vacuum bed it comes with the former kit
