Still rocking a Nikon Coolpix S8000 from 2010. It's the same camera internally as the S1100pj, the differences being 10x optical zoom (30-300mm eq., f/3.5-5.6) and no projector. It's still going strong. I actually use it for product photography for our home business taking pics of handmade boots and uploading it onto our website, socials etc. Does the job very well.
I've seen camcorders with built-in projectors mounted on the back of the flip out, articulating display which makes a whole lotta sense for viewing videos when you think about it!

put an anamorphic adapter in front of the lens, shoot your photo, then project the photo using the adapter and you get cinemascope projection !
That projection mode is such a weird feature for 2010ish. 2:40 is a super cool implementation tho!
