said the same thing man! when he's in the fairway he's usually making birdie at a pretty good clip. some of those recovery shots he hits throughout rounds are unreal lol!
Hey Ben love the content! Would love for you to do a full video on your pre-round warmup. Maybe even a mini series like a pre tournament warm up a full round warm up and a short 20-30 min warm up??
Shout out to your videographer and editor!! Great sequencing and transitions. Ben, I don’t know how you can keep your brain in competition mode and stay camera/audience aware, but it is a gift - thanks for the awesome content- top shelf content 👊
Your ability to recover from bad shots is impressive as heck Ben. Sometimes it just doesn't go your way. That you were able to stay close to par was as inspirational as it gets.
Bro I actually love your stuff home slice, I’m going into my junior year of high school as a 2.8 and I love watching your videos to gain some confidence and information on competitive golf
loving your vids mate. It's impressive you put the best and the worst of the journey. Your driving seems to get you into a bit of trouble, but your recovery shots are quite amazing.
For someone who brings it straight up abunch u hit it pretty solid I’m impressed keep on pressn 👍 Also 27:16 😂 them clubs seen some cart paths for sure
I played this weekend and the mosquitoes 🦟 were in clouds around the course. I've never been swarmed like that in my life. This video, besides the rain on day one, looked so nice. Thanks for sharing the journey!
You looked so much outside with the club... only chance for massive cut or double cross. That's just the couch analysis of a 13 HCP. Love the content, I am rooting for you!!!!
Just starting the video !!! Loving the fact that I don't know how you went already !!! (Btw I know that al scores are online and findable etc but for your Q school I enjoyed the content and production so much I avoided looking at the results to enjoy the video more !
I actually wish you'd see more thick ruff like that, or even thicker in something like a "rough bunker" for pga/liv events because we all know the sand is mostly fine for all the pro's, they often even hit it in the sand on purpose in some scenarios. Give them something like thick ass rough where they don't want to be.
Love the videos man, we probably all agree you’re the YTer with the most potential. Practice a go-to fairway finder and perhaps play more punch shots to control that spin and hold more greens. Easier said than done. Your distance is an absolute weapon but it isn’t helping you right now. You can always go for the extra gear when needed, but it isn’t needed all the time.
I admire how calm you stay during even the worst times. I rip one in OB off the first tee and I’m done. Basically about to snap my driver in half. I suck, physically at golf but mentally I reaaaaaally suck. Don’t know how you do it bro.
Hey Ben, loved the vid, and the production quality even from a few months ago is night and day! Wanted to ask what type of mic are you using to capture all your audio?

@@benhaddengolf show the people how you go through a practice round, and why you hit chips and putts from different parts on and around the greens. Why you take certain lines off the tee etc… preparing is one of my favorite aspects of comp golf
Ben, don't you think a good caddie would improve your scoring / competition golf? I'd think someone to help you with the mental, strategic, and reads/yardages/club/windage etc would be super beneficial. I'd think the teamwork and consistency of another person would be very helpful. Why don't you have a caddie / partner? Is it just too cost prohibitive? Would they be more or less valuable to your goals than a videographer/editor? Maybe you can cross train Jaylin, and have him switch hit caddie for comps, and video for all non-comps ...
If I was playing you in match play that hole and lost to that birdie. I might have turned your clubs inside out 😂 Keep putting out great content BH! These last few videos have been so good lately
If you get that driver going straight-ish you’ll be fine. You have so much curve with it I know you’re losing distance. The scrambling looks GREAT considering I watch you do a bunch of it. It’s hard to really evaluate your iron play because you’re not really in good position often enough to judge it. I thoroughly enjoy your bunker play, and your chipping isn’t bad, you’re just always where you don’t want to be which makes your chipping look worse than I assume it really is. As far as putting goes…I’ve seen you putt significantly better. It looked like you were having difficulty reading the greens and your pace was understandably off because the course conditions were completely different each day of the tournament. Lots of work to do, most noticeably with course management and knowing where to miss. Keep grinding and eventually it will come…or it won’t 🤷♂️
Dude. When the course gives you lemons you literally make funfetti cake!!!! So many drives into shit lies and you're still pulling out pars or better. Your scrambling is elite bud. FYI. Love the tournament content. Id much rather watch you play rounds than watch some half assed 2v2s. I mean I wTch that shit too I just like this way better.
Do you know why golf fees are called "green fees"? Because if they called them "fairway fees", you could have played for free! Tough weather didn't help.
That first round would’ve been under par, for you, had your putting been slightly better. Not an insult, I just think you should concentrate solely on your putting when you’re practicing, and work on the rest of your game when you’re playing. Do that for a year straight, and you’ll be one of the most accurate putters in the world, and you’ll get much better at reading greens. It’s incredibly difficult to improve one’s golf game, in every aspect, so you should work on each individual skill for long periods of time; until you get them down to a degree where you’re satisfied with. You also tend to over hit your wedges, in your short game, so I’d practice that next. I understand that you have put many hours into practicing & playing golf, and it’s probably annoying to you when you get advice from a stranger on the internet about it, but what you’re doing right now isn’t pushing your golf game to the next level. I know that’s harsh and unfair of me to tell you that, and for all you know, I suck at golf and have no idea what I’m talking about, so why should you listen to my advice, right? Well, what I can tell you is that I used to shoot 100+, and after only 2 months of training in just my short game (chipping onto different greens, from multiple distances and locations), I’m now shooting 80-85, every round. I know what you’re thinking… “80-85 is terrible!”, but what if I told you I just started playing golf 3 & 1/2 months ago? That’s the absolute truth, and I’ve only played 11 rounds of golf, at the same course. Don’t believe me? Next time you’re in Tucson, AZ., come to the Forty-Niner Country Club, and let me show you. I’ll even have you meet my family to validate my claim of when I started golfing. Heck, by then, I might even win a round against you! Haha, probably not… but you never know! I have been watching you play, and enter tournaments for a few years now, and you’re one of the people who motivated me to play golf because you are actually trying to become a winning tour professional! I want you to succeed, and perhaps, one day, we’ll compete against each other on that level; even if it’s just a qualifier! In the meantime, I’m going to continue training in every aspect of my golf game, one by one, until I’ve become so good that guys like Tiger Woods, and Bryson DeChambeau have nightmares when they think about me! 😅 look out for the name, Kyle DeVaughn, in the next 3-5 years! I’m not taking any of this lightly either; I’m completely serious about perfecting my golf game, one skill at a time! God bless!
Ben, your willingness to meticulously handle small yet tedious details to elevate the production is truly inspiring.
