      Kids lie occasionally when they think they will get in trouble. So do adults. And they often get away with it. Most of them grow up to be normal, law abiding citizens. This kind of case does not a criminal or a psychopath make. There are lots of worse children than this young man. Don't exaggerate. It doesn't excuse his behaviour, but the neighbour was also clearly a miserable, interfering busy body. She showed her true nature when she argued with the Judge.

I'd love to see how he turns out once he grows up. Something tells me he'll drop out of school, impregnate multiple women and then deny paternity, and basically become a loser. The girl will probably also end up in crappy relationships with the first loser guys that show her an ounce of affection to make up for the extremely low expectations her parents have for her.     I'm not sure who the bigger jackass is here; the plaintiff for trying to get more money for a damaged garage door than she deserves or the defendants making excuses for their kid damaging someone else's property and lying about it. That mother is the kind of woman who'd stand up in court and say, "Your Honor, my son couldn't have killed that person, I have letters from his kindergarten teacher saying he's a sweet boy!" Lady. He's a brat. Either get him in check now or this won't be the last time you're hauled into court because of him.

    So the boy plays in what is essentially the communal driveway, and the parents are okay with that.
    I feel for the daughter: the son can do no wrong in the mother's eyes, and she probably gets blamed for all of his messes. The mom pretty much called her daughter devious when she claimed they are both very different and then went on about how wonderful her son is.

    The kid lied. First he said that he was standing outside of the plantiff's house, then he said that he was at school, then the dad said that he never spoke to the plantiff and all those lies got exposed when the mom started to interrupt Judge Judy lol

It wouldn't surprise me that that the kid has bothered that lady a few times before cause some kids are annoying like that and she has tried talking to the parents but the kid, as we can see here, is the golden child and can't do no wrong 🙄

    He told on himself when JJ said “Right outside her door” and he says “not right outside” which would be correcting her that he wasn’t as close as she said which would imply he was there. Then said it was 2:30 and he was at school. Nice try bub. This is how we create a criminal, a smart one too, by not having accountability. When parents don’t hold their children accountable bad things happen.

    The kid said he wasnt there when the incident allegedly happened.
    If he wasnt there, then there should have been no conversation between himself and the neighbour.
    If there was no conversation between himself and the neighbour, the mother wouldn't know about it.
    Therefore, he was there and he's covering it up with the help of his parents, but _badly._

    Those parents thought that they were going to get one over on JJ. Ended up looking like fools and until the end the plaintiff seemed pretty normal and then we saw another side of her.

      Not the parents - just the mum. The dad and the daughter act extremely grounded, the mum thinks her son is a golden child.

    That boy is going to be in some serious trouble when he gets older. He clearly has no problem telling a lie thinking he'll get away with whatever he has done and he's completely pulled the wool over his parents eyes. He'll grow into a full on manipulator if he continues down this path and with his parents justifying his actions he'll never learn. Poor kid probably doesn't realise how bad manipulation is because he's clearly never been taught and thinks that it's ok. He'll be in for some big surprises in the future if his parents continue to ignore how good a manipulator he actually is. JJ can see it straight away at least.

    I hate when it parents attribute good grades to good character. Those teachers probably don’t want to hear mom twist everything. So it’s best to acquiesce than to tell mom the truth about her manipulative, liar of a son.

    As a kid, when we did something wrong, we always hid the wrong doing from the stricter parent (Dad- in this case) and would go inform the lenient parent (aka the one who will spoil you- mom in this case). We all know why he did not inform Dad who was at home and told mom who was not at home.

    Wow these people raise children that lie and they think good parenting is defending their children no matter what. These defendants are in for a rude awakening when he gets a lot older. The little boy established his guilt when he said his father was home but he opted to tell his mother who wasn’t home. Mother is the parent who is more easily manipulated.
