We got a real good laugh in when you said “There’s probably a special tool for this…. It’s called a flathead.” Made my week. Honestly though, this video helped me understand my problem and ease of the repair over all the other videos watched. Thank you Parts Shooter!
@@trinabelle I have a 2016 now, but had a 2013 before this one. Traded it in after the turbo started making an unusual whistling noise a couple months before the warranty expired. Perfect time to upgrade, and I got the 2.5L this time. One less thing to break. LOL! Just turned 100k miles on it and it still runs and looks like new. Love the body style! Sucks that they aren't making sedans anymore. I guess I'll be looking for a low mileage used Fusion when this one wears out.
@@77bubba00 mines is a 2.5L as well, and I agree with you, I love the body style of the fusion, and it's really sucks that they discontinued the fusion
@@trinabelle With the 2.5L, I haven't noticed any difference in performance or gas mileage. I've always gotten 25-27 mpg local driving and up to 38 mpg on the interstate going 75 mph. Who needs the turbo?? 🙂
Good video. I'm now a subscriber. I like that you left the hard parts in. I hate when dudes make it look like they did it in one take and you know damn well they were swearing and throwing their tools too! anyway, good vid man.
I am SO glad you commented this! I was in the autozone parking lot about to get parts and try to replace this when I was watching this and read your comment. My brake fluid all leaked out and I forgot there was a recall. I’m taking it to the dealer in the morning
There should be 2 washers. One goes on the bolt then you put the hose on and the other washer goes on the other end of the bolt then you screw it into the caliper

I think it's called a vise grip and not a flat head.
I got a Ford recall letter today to replace these hoses.

@@danielkelleyhoward Make sure to take a pic of the hoses to make sure they DO get replaced 😂.
Thanks
Do you know who produced the original brake hoses, just asking because where I work used to make a lot of the brake hoses for Ford?
Hey there, I don't have that information unfortunately.
You know there is a recall on ford fusions for that exact brake line ford should fix that for free 🤷♂️
Where did the other rubber washer thing go ?

Next, show us how to remove the clip quickly.
Can you list all the tools you used in the comment section?
Thank you!
Hey where did you order the part? I need to do this on my girlfriends car

3/14/23 Recall
PEORIA, ILLINOIS...
Dude... it's a bolt, 4min later.
@Mikkall time stamp please...
Also, this is a customer car. I'm not breaking someone else's stuff like yall do
What were you gonna do if the bolt was rotted/rusted to the point of failure other than break it off anyway.
