    Bikes from the 70's & 80's were more comfortable to ride with those thick seat than modern bike.

    That’s the first bike I was ever taken on as a young fella, about 12 yrs old. My stepfather, who owned the bike, then took me on a poker run that was held about 60 miles from our house, and we rode there, two-up, on that little bike, did the run and came home. Been riding ever since.

    Gt185 was easy to find in my country. But this 125 is rarely.. Great small bike with beautiful sound. I wish i can have one of this, ride it and park it behind my c70 😁. Great video by the way👍

    Had one when i was younger, same color even, though mine was setup as an enduro with knobbier tires, we used it mostly off road on the farm in the early 90's 😊

    I have to admit, this s a really nice bike! I was 18 when it was new. After not riding for 50 years, I got a 2018 V Star 250. Raven black. Torquey lil bike but bigger than this one.

    My first bike when I was 17 back in 1982 was a GT125 same colour but not as good condition N reg/1974 if I remember rightly. Originally my mate bought it & spoilt it, my other mate bought it off him stripped to the last nut & bolt then lost interest. I bought it off him in a load of cardboard boxes and built it back up again.
    Absolutely loved it 🥰 many happy memories with it.
    Lovely to see one in such beautiful condition

    it is beautiful I had a blue 100cc 1975 model I think it was,, as my first bike, had a lot of great rides, but also it made me learn how to maintain it was not 100% stock and got used hard by a 16-year-old, so I had to repair it now and then, but when it worked I loved it, still, miss it today, and it was the main reason I bought the 2020 Honda Monkey it is not the same but some parts of it remind me of my first bike :)

    Brings back memories of my GT125.
    KJE 14P. Mine was crashed when I bought it, I fitted the bigger headlamp from the 185 and mag wheels.
    Fuel consumption never got much over 30mpg.
    I moved on to a GT250X7 which was certainly faster and handled better but never had the charm of the older Ram Air twins. Good times!

  • @citizenseventies6738
    @citizenseventies6738 2 роки тому +1

    New wheels/spokes, paintwork and then also just noticed some of those fasteners don't look original, also those clocks should be the plastic ones on the L model, those clocks look like they are from a later GP100/125 (the tacho certainly is) - So saying the bike is virtually unrestored is a bit of an exaggeration.
    Lovely looking example but it needs the original clocks.
