I got mine off but I'm having trouble getting it back on. I can't get the arm to the knob you use to push it with to slide back into its little hole on the body cover. Could you tell me how you did it? Could you do a video on that?
Mr Peak thank you for the videos! My uncle gave me my grandpa's old 165 hydros that had been sitting up for years after my grandpa died. Long story short I got it running.... but when its running and in forward it will go slow at about 3 mph. In order to get it to go at max speed I have to use hulk strength to keep it at max speed. It is like there is some sort of overly tight spring i am fighting to keep it going fast. Is this normal operating procedure for the hydros 165's? Thank you so much.
At the 4:00 mark you remove the deck height adjustment handle. Where does the 3" spring hook up on it to hold the rod up snug?
I can't remember.
So what size cup are those knobs in ? 😆😆

Can't now. The mower is down in Georgia and I'm up in Maine for the summer. Good luck with yours though.

Might be worn out drive belt. Might need a new one.
It bares everything once you get the rear cover off
Hopefully so.
