Congrats, man. You light fires for me, you're a motivation. I'm on the outside looking in, but I think it might be good to decrease the amount of projects so you don't bite off too much and/or burnout. Wish you further good fortune on your manga journey 💪🏾
that's awesome! very happy for you, especially because your story is somewhat parallel to the journey you took to getting into writing comics and manga
Congrats on winning the competition! Do you have any tips on how to transition from writing manga/webtoons to visual novels? -how to adjust storylines and pacing to handle audience expectations and medium differences? -how to find a good balance between how much ideas you communicate with dialogue/pictures and how much you do with prose/music? -how to learn prose as someone used to writing only dialogue in general?
Amazing video!! Congrats and well deserved. I love how you summarized how you kept trying and learning each step of the way. Thank you for inspiring me to start on my manga journey!
I have watched this video about 6x now ... Its so inspirational bro .... I got here via that exact same competition... definitely looking to do several competitions 2023 and on...
Man . Im not author/mangaka but in my opinion you should be putting your effort into getting more eyes on your work in Japan. I think that should be your main focus. You will always have Webtoons to come back to, if you don’t enjoy it , or don’t reach the levels you are hoping to reach (which I think you will) Who knows maybe one day you can serialize one of your webtoon stories in Japan when more eyes are on your work. You are dedicated and clearly an extremely hard worker , and I think you should put your full attention into an opportunity like this
I actually read the works of all Sma-18 prize winners and when I saw the Title and then the author name "Brandon Chen" , I realized that it was you lmfao
Do you mind doing a video on how you came up with the story for your manga I have an idea for one but I feel like it's been told before what I mean by that is like in a predictable way but maybe I can put a spin on it is what I mean
Amazing... I haven't seen someone this passionate and hard working you definitely deserve this
You make amazing manga! Thank you for the motivation!
WOW that one shot was really good, it’s hard to make someone feel chills in just a few panels

Hey Brandon how do you get new idea for stories not only new ideas but also the world building.
I got a manga project , and I need a designer (mangaka), and I’ d like to know if you would be interested in working with us, thanks.
Just being curious, is your writing class for beginners is free or not ? It looks really interesting.
So do you get paid? I'm curious, I was making one-shot and wondering. Do you need to go to japan to spend the price?
