I actually love the Yamanaka clan, I love how they're basically telepaths. Ino should have been written to be more of a sensor/genjutsu healer instead of a boy crazy girl. It just reminds me of how bad Kishimoto sucked at writing females.

I think the anime should have at least given us something substantial. I know romance isn’t Naruto’s strong suit but could have at least tried. Only thing we got in the anime was sai calling her beautiful (even though he meant ugly).
We did had a ino and sai moment post war arc when everyone was at their 20s in shippuden, we also saw some shikamaru and Temari moments and naruto’s weeding. I wish they did more episodes in their 20s than boruto tbh.

Obviously the scene in the novel was much deeper, but they put it anyway. Also, it must be said that they are side characters and almost no love story in Naruto have a REAL development , except Naruto and Hinata in the movie. Kishi is not good at all with the romances, he admitted it himself, he just spread some scene for foreshadow it, but, however, shikatema and inosai are well written in novels

It’s never easy to perfect a long standing, traditional family jutsu such as the Mind Transfer jutsu. But for Inojin, I guess it seems necessary, since he was mostly incomplete in terms of jutsus for the better span of a few years. Maybe now he’ll be a little more complete in terms of his abilities and become way more effective than he usually is now, especially since Shikadai’s the new Chunin and all!

Did Inojin just learn the Mind Transfer Jutsu in one afternoon? Or did he train before? The point of the old generation's jutsus was that they were hard to master because extrememy difficult and were taught to the Yamanaka kids very early. It used to be a very powerful jutsu, not just something you can do 2 minutes after asking your mom to "teach" you..
I could be wrong, but I think he's at pre-timeskip Ino's level at most; he now has the basics down, but he's nowhere near a master, as seen by his failed attempt to use the jutsu on Ino.
I like to think they paid the tanuki to help for a little bit. Like he made a little tanuki scroll beast and was like "I got some food with your name on it if you help us train for a little bit". He did kinda just look at him and wait instead of running away after Ino got done.
Controlling a wild animal seems like a great infiltration/intelligence gathering technique. Surely it could have been greatly utilized if it was on a male character.
