Richard Waugh is the definitive Albert Wesker! While all Wesker's voice actors have been good, Waugh first defined the enigmatic villain and made him so popular in the first place. From Code: Veronica to CVX, to Wesker's Report to Resident Evil 4 and everything in between, look back at the evolution of yet another phenomenal RE voice actor who should still be with the series to this day.

Waugh is my favorite because he sound like a cold blooded spy or hitman. Although dc douglas is more iconic because he is more insane version of wesker corrupted by his superior evil virus ouruboros .
You can definitely tell DC took notes on Waugh, similarities.
Richard Waugh's natural unusual voice what made his Wesker portayal something rare and special, you don't hear anyone being able to do such voice, even today's modern gaming they just sound the same but then again they kept hiring same voice actors which I barely see anything special, there are still few great voices though

Waugh always had a level of sophistication that conveyed how above the rest of the cast he was. DC was fun and all, but he's a little hammy and basically trying to do an impression of Waugh.

@@mew10521 Long story short, he snuck into a women's bathroom (on purpose, after which he also purposely took out his phone, and recorded himself for thirty seconds inside of a stall while an unsuspecting woman was having some, let's say bowel trouble. D.C. then proceeds to giggle at it like a little child, before stepping out of the stall.) and then later said "It was just a joke."
Furthermore, more evidence of him being a creeper at conventions towards underage female cosplayers is also documented, a history of providing sexual favors for con appearances, his very creepy messages towards other underage girls, and it's also been uncovered that he ran a Tumblr blog way back where he encouraged underage followers of his to sent explicit photographs to him.
All of this can be looked up, the take-away here is that he's an absolute creeper that has no business being anywhere NEAR conventions, much less voice acting.
This is the most underrated wesker of all time.

I swear, Richard Waugh was the perfect Wesker voice in my opinion. I never had an issue with the other ones as I like them too. This guy would sometimes remind me of Horatio Caine and vice versa. Lol
weird they hired him for RE0 and RE4 but they did not have him on RE1 remake
Max555 It is weird. I always assumed it was because REmake was recorded in LA and Zero in Canada so they used different VAs. Would’ve love him to have heard in REmake tho. Same with Riva Di Paulo (Rebeccas voice actor from Zero). Would’ve loved some consistency and had her also in Remake. But Capcom is never consistent with voice actors
@@TheHorrorInside from what I head the two teams working on REmake and RE0 had disagreements and changed things around a lot out of spite, which caused the glaring inconsistency between Rebecca Chambers character between the two games.

Peter Jessup is fav Wesker, for being evil and Campy. I do like Richard's more evil take on Wesker. DC Douglas was ok but there was something off about him. Pablo Kuntz is super nostalgic

@@Szczauqa If I remember correctly, they Capcom contracted another English-Adaptaters Company for the REmake which were using different actors. I don't know why it happened though.

I'm not gonna lie.... he didn't go good in Code Veronica. Especially when he still sounds cold at the scene where Wesker chokes Chris even though he's supposed to sound angry, a sore loser who is venting on the man who thwarted his plans.
To me he did MUCH better in RE4 when Wesker is calculating.
Overall, I think he's at his best... if Wesker is being cold and calculating. But when he gets angry, it's not good.
