I'm from London but living in Kansas, USA. During the 4th of July celebrations some 16 year old kid asked me if we do fireworks in the UK. I didn't want to seem arrogant by saying we have the best on the planet, but after watching this again I wish I had.

It was: 1952 & 1957, 1962 & 1969, 1972 & 1977, 1984 & 1989, 1994 & 1997, 2004 & 2009, 2012 & 2019. But I'd want to know why 2012 was the best for you? What's for sure, is the BEST weather of all time in 2012 - there were always warm and sunny days.
I remember drinking for the first time back in 2014 when I was almost 13 only because I got permission from everyone and I only did it on New Year’s anyway. Now I’m 20, approaching 21
I feel so great being British while watching this. I never look at London thinking "Wow, it's so beautiful!". Love the parts when the camera cuts to the crowd and their awe-inspired faces.
2012 was a fantastic year for Britain which was ended in spectacular fashion. It was a brilliant year for Britain in not just sporting terms but overall. Everyone really came together, united and put everything into what happened. That is why I'm proud to be British and feel privileged to live in such a fantastic place! We may never see another year quite like 2012, but we can damn sure try to follow on from it! Bring on 2013 and the years after!
To all the people below that says what a waste of money, i guess you dont get the point of Fireworks! it dosnt matter the cost of it it matters that it looks good makes fun and bangs loud! Firework is for some people here a real hobby. I Love fireworks :) i dont care money lot on New Year.

I was there in 2011 and have watched the London NYE Fireworks every year after on Tv and I agree with you, those three displays from 2011 to 2013 really stand out most. They were Fantastic 😊🌒🎆🎆🎆❄🌲🍁🍂
Yes the sound track is played live via huge speakers all along the firework route and I can tell you that as a Londoner It is "awesome" to hear and watch
I am always immensely proud to call myself a Londoner born and bred, things like this just make me even more proud. London is amazing, Britain may have its faults but London is definitely not one of them.
Gives me goose bumps I'm usually drunk in a pub at this point on the dancefloor falling over haha but this would 100 percent draw me to tears seeing it I get emotional nye anyway haha

Jessica XD i wouldn't call a one time thing that big of a deal, that kind of stuff happens everywhere and i do live in the outskirts of London, Kent and i love it within London, i have been to many large world cities and my favorite by a large margin is London.

I rewatch these fireworks every New Years Day. This will always be the best display in my opinion - it was such an amazing year to be British.
