Today it's us vs the Velotric T1ST eBike! this eBike was surprisingly
fun to ride and whip around town on! Really cool for what it is. Check it out if you're looking for a bike like this!
I put 700x50c gravel tires, 720mm handlebars and MTB pedals. It looks badass now and I mainly ride it on gravel. Love the bike!
What kind of range you get? I pedal pretty hard so a lot of stand up mashing, wonder if it could take my weird riding style, wonder what kind of range, I like the idea of a stealthy fitness commuter rig, what about any other offerings
@@ShouldaWavedI ride on Eco 90% of the time if I plan to ride far and I get around 30-40 miles, maybe more. I’ve never depleted the battery. Definitely less if you go higher on pedal assist.
@@jlp-mtb1391thinking about getting it still, sure wish I could sample ride one in the area but not an option. Was looking at what electric had too the peak and the Xpress, this one is neat because you simply can't tell it's an ebike and I like to pedal, lot of folks complaining about the torque sensor and having to ghost pedals or Intermittent power surge feel or something. I'm glad your liking it, I really need to pull the trigger on one and it's hard I keep looking at apples and oranges, I really like the design on that T1 but I'm sure ide probably like the t1ST too
Bought this bike about 3 weeks ago and LOVE it. Weighs 36 pounds, rides like my regular hybrid. I'm 68 and ride regularly, but I wanted a bike that I could use instead of my car to do local errands like grocery shopping, pickups at local stores, visiting friends or family, etc. I've been riding it like mad. I ride it about 85% of the time without using any pedal assist at all because it's so light that I can use it as a fitness bike. But I love having the PAS available for a longish hill, or if I'm carrying stuff, or I'm running late and have to speed up my return trip. It's also the most comfortable bike I've ever owned. I love my road bike and hybrid but I ride this all the time now.
Perfect for an older rider who has a few health issues, eg. knees, back etc, helps get average people out & enjoying the outdoors again through true Ebiking.👍👌😊
Agreed!
Probably a great option for the hardcore bike riders that just want a little help while riding, and light should help be able to ride farther because of the lack of extra weight. Price seems pretty reasonable.
Excuse me while I whip this out...
Hey there, just watched your "velotric" video and I have to say, your content is top-notch! Really appreciate the effort you put into showcasing the features and discussing the performance. But guess what? I stumbled upon a new crowdfunding project called freebeat's Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. It's seriously impressive! Not only does it have a dual mode for indoor and outdoor use, but it can also be charged when in indoor mode. Talk about convenience! The specs are mind-blowing too, with a 750W motor, 80Nm torque, and top speed of 20mph. And let's not forget the suspension, puncture-resistant tires, and IPX5 Waterproof finish. Can't wait to see your thoughts on this innovation!
it looks great, great price too for that quality, perfect for a city commuter, add a rack and bags and you can move your groceries easy
I'm not a big fan of integrated batteries, if you live in an appartement its better if you can bring the battery inside for charging instead of the whole bike
thanks for this one
I like this bike and may get one myself. I've been riding for about 54 years with no suspension on & Off road with a broken back since 2001, my motorbikes do most work now but this would be perfect for me, but that seat would get changed.
Thanks for posting this
I do a lot of hanging for my back, off anything I can find , really helps and try to get your core more in shape, I don't do situps though as those agitate my back, and are like a natural weigh belt. Can do a active hanging and wide grip pull ups just a few here and there can help the back, it's rough with my crappy elbows and shoulders from all the years of inflammation I caused lol working getting my gimp body in shape and eating clean doing a transformation now but just amazed at what I've done foe my back by helping my core and strengthening back muscles, I used to get stuck on the floor and could hardly breathe my eyes would water
Yet another respectable if, mildly powered ebike, but the size and shape of the frame make it a great stealth ebike.
Very cool looking, clean bike!
It's like a gravel E-bike.
The only thing I'd replace is the handlebar. That looks bad..
Torque sensor for true mixed power. Cadence sensor often it's peddle into nothing then sudden cut out
Velotric has altered the frame sizes for the T1ST and T1ST Plus models. I own both bicycles and was disappointed to see the measurements changed between the two versions of the same bike. The T1ST is available in Small and Medium sizes, while the T1ST Plus comes in Regular and Large. However, the Plus's Regular size seems more like a Medium/Small, and the Large size appears to be a Large/Medium. If anyone is interested, I can provide detailed comparisons of the specifications. Velotric should consider retaining the original geometry.
Potential buyers should know this Torque sensor is only a single direction torque sensor. Meaning it will only speed up with more force on the peddles. It will not slow down with less force on the peddle like most torque sensors. . this produces a weird riding experience if you are traveling under 13 mph. the bike speeds up and then you have to stop peddling to stop the motor or else you will ghost peddle as the bike picks up more unwanted speed.
This needs to be highlighted more often with these reviews. I just test rode a Rad power Radster and its torque sensor exhibited the same behavior. It was a one way linear build up then it just stayed there. Super weird and not at all as smooth as a proper mid-drive.
Looks like a normal bike. I like it. The 'find my bike' thru Apple would be useless to me since I have no Apple products to connect.
0:23 Truly a wise man
I am confused. You mentioned that you used Touring mode for the range test stating that was max power. Touring mode is actually the second level offering relatively little assist.
If Apple made an E-bike. I like how it has that integrated into the bike. But what if power was off?
When you buy it, just hide an Apple Airtag in the frame somewhere.
That way you won't need the actual power of the bike and can track it down anytime 😉
USB phone charger? It is amazing how much this is overlooked.
Superb review what's the exact size of this cycle?
I prefer the having to pedal, i got lazy with the throttle 😮, at least in pedal assist you get the blood flowing 👍🤠 its an old folk thing 😅🎅
True!
I still pedal even on the 1500w mountain bike I built. Didn't even connect the throttle or anything that came with the kit, just had to make a few changes so I had enough gearing to pedal still at 30+mph.
@@JudeTheUA-camPoopersubscribe I hated the weight of my 1500w motor, now I put around 1100w through a geard ⚙ 250w hub motor 🤟💯 love it,bikes 🚲 still under 45LBS
@@ianmangham4570 hopefully that thing doesn't fail and overheat lol. All the components on my bike are ice cool even after pushing it at Max power for an hour that's what I like to see. Probably helps living in the UK as well but hey ho.
Great review mate
Great review thank you
What is the size of the bike, and what is the stand over height on it?
Yay 👍
that handle bar position is killing me
How so? Looks like maybe it could use wider handlebars, I'm riding a triathlon bike right now, I don't sit in the aero position I just use the weird palm pads, and ride it like a comfort bike bike and I bungee things to the aero bars and use those nite ize flexible cables to mount speaker it's slick but the bikes a little to small
Handlebars still bother you?
it seems actually nice
I would buy it if it was $500 and with a suspension fork
Keep dreaming
@@deltaecho4673 no, I´m already doing it
I´m converting my bicycle into electric with all DIY stuff (for less than $100)
@@panintegral4571that's not even possible lol. A good quality large battery alone is like 500.
@@JudeTheUA-camPoopersubscribe I can make one myself and it would cost less than 100 (in america probably not, but in Argentina, totally)
Hey {{3}}, I found a new crowdfunding project that might interest you. It's called the Freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike, and it seems to have some outstanding features. Firstly, it has a dual mode system that allows you to use it both indoors and outdoors. The most impressive feature is that it can be charged while you're using it indoors! With its powerful brushless motor, 80mm front suspension, and puncture-resistant fat tires, the Morph eBike can handle any terrain. It also offers fitness insights and even converts your calories into CO2-free miles for outdoor rides. I think it's worth checking out if you're looking for a versatile e-bike.
Hey man commenting this on a newer video of yours so that you’re more likely to see it - do you know if you’re able to put the enduro/motorcycle type seat you installed on the dirt bike type bike on a folding bike similar to the g force you reviewed? Thanks in advance
I mean with enough fabrication probably, but it was a bolt-on bomber-style frame seat, and the eBike seats are just a post. I'm sure you can buy dirtbike-style seats for bicycles, too
Does it come with a Phone Stand for the bike?
I'm hoping Neutronic ebike sends you a review unit of excalibur.
Very clean looking bike. How does the battery come out?
It does not come out
You can remove it from the bottom but you need tools.
The bike shop guy says that the battery can be replaced but you probably have to have it done at the bike shop
Inja you should review the Eahora romeo please
Will this work for a 6'1 male? The medium frame?
I would love a BMX style E-Bike at this price point.
that would be the SWFT BMX at $999.
It's fun to ride but once the battery goes you have to get rid of the bike. B is not replaceable
22.6 not bad
Wow I need one of those
Good
Did you notice the motor surging? A whole bunch of us have gone through multiple of these now and the motors surge with just the slightest turn of the pedal -- it's dangerous and really ruins the whole product.
Nah I haven't...are you talking about the power setting being up too high? Or is it malfunctioning for you?
@@TheInja The first one I had (waiting on 2nd to arrive) would like to "surge" a bit and add power too easily and at times when not wanted or expected with just light turns of the pedal. When simply coasting and switching gears and needing a pedal turn to do it, I'd get a bunch of motor boost kicking in when I least wanted it (usually trying to coast and decelerate) -- I also noticed hardly any difference at all between PAS modes 2-5 ... Only "green" (PAS1) felt really different than the others.
Bro i love that your doing a review on this brand as i recently bought one for myself and love it/def recommend others try ome for themselves. Pedal assist is the way to go when you want a e-bike but don’t want to basically be a lazy American/fatty and take away from the whole experience/purpose of how your supposed to enjoy riding a bicycle. Also side note i personally live in the Portland/salem area of Oregon and we have a HUGE bike theft rate unfortunately )= an because the battery is hidden /they’ve chosen to keep the bicycles technology wires etc, hidden or just not shown(if even there); it TREMENDOUSLY HELPS!;to deter bike thief’s(queefz)from EVEN thinking about looking at these bicycles in most shopping centers bike racks or apt/condo or high rise lock up areas; esp.when u may be required to leave the thing outside of a store for a minute or at the bike rack of your local shopping center/outlet malls etc. that is if your maybe planning on shopping for more than a min etc. there are no immediate dead giveaways that it may be a expensive brand that dope fiends hunt 4 , things like lcd screen attachment or GIANT E-BATTERY on the frame somewhere etc etc. these type of items ive always felt leave a huge target on the bike itself and i just wont/refuse to leave my e-bike made by “TREK” outside because of attachments and accessories like the ones I’ve mentioned here in the comments. Anyways thank you for the honest review and not dragging out the video for content and time/added commercials to earn extra thru ur media . Def appreciated it, but dam brother now that your channel is doing so well , maybe throw away the old cloths from back when your mother still purchased ur tshirts in elementary school and so forth. Im sure you make enough to go ahead and treat your self to a proper “XL” SIZE T-SHIRT 😊Or are you the type who likes shopping at baby gap/did that to your self on purpose???? 😂 i did notice your referencing yourself in ways that tend to imply your kinda a douche 🤦……. Man your all ready radiating more the Fukushima for crying out loud, but hey your killing it and i took the time to watch your content so who am i to say anything….do you bro bro. But maybe ACTUALLY do “YOU” and dont turn into a carbon copy of what your thinking is something cool. Cause i swear to you thats not the case and it’s def more of a “DOUCHE” vibe just saying,….from your truly. “A CONCERNED UA-camR”
Damnn brudah...more on that car in the driveway!!!

"Assemble your dream" and "build your dream" are completely different things, dude. Get back to building things and I'll get back to liking your videos. Maybe I'm the only one feeling this way, but get back to building videos or change your mantra.
ok james
A little too much you tube James? 😂
@@PumpUptheJam81 UA-cam beats network TV most days, LOL. This channel encouraged my son and me to convert a scrap-bound Suzuki GS500 to a fun 8-12KW electric motorcycle, so I'm glad to provide feedback when they ask. It won't beat our gen 1 turbo Busa, but it got us into fun electrics. Keep it up Inja!
