i play bass in Lovejoy
this past month was pretty insane, we played a couple of live shows, I got some more tattoos, we were back in the studio and I creampied some of my friends
featuring TommyInnit, James Marriott, Wilbur Soot, Aksel, Pinely & many more
all footage captured August 2022 in various locations around the UK
(Brighton, Hove, London)
I’m so glad that Lovejoy lets the bassline shine as much as it deserves, so many songs have bass but only in the shadows. So happy that both the bassline and the bassist get the appreciation they deserve in this band!
the bass is like a secondary lead melody at this point, and the way will plays rhythm guitar it acts like the bass
Im gonna give the bass some more attention for the songs me and my friends are gonna make, also since im the bassist

I love how Ash captures and appreciates humanity at it’s most vulnerable, when no one is taking themselves so seriously and just enjoying life. I feel that’s why these flogs make everyone so happy when they watch it
The part where it was a bunch of clips while Wilbur sung saline solution is beautiful. It made me kind of emotional. Wilbur said he met ash in a burger shop, and now there’s a circle of friends who have great times. What a nice thing :)

i love coming back to this video to come back to the saline solution montage at the end. i miss summer and i miss the hope and ruin gig, it was one of the best days of my life, i can’t believe it’s been 7 months already feels like it was just yesterday 🙁 i’ve seen lovejoy 4 times since then and their gigs have become such a place of comfort to me it’s unexplainable. until september (thanks mark for leaking to me that uve got some more uk shows then)😁🤞
