    Great list, but I would absolutely add Strionic Resonator to double up on that ability to move curses.

      Strionic Resonator is the more versatile card, but if you only really care about Lynde's ability and you're only going to add 1 card that can double it, Paradox Haze gets you the same practical effect with a (non-curse) enchantment ETB for 3 mana total. Resonator doesn't have type synergy, and while it costs less to get out, it costs more total by the first time you use it and gets worse from there. TBH though, it might be worth it to run both and maybe even Lithoform Engine and Sphinx of the Second Sun, too. Move curses around like a madman, draw a ton, and even pull off some tricks like creating token copies of your best curses.

      What card would you recommend replacing for Strionic Resonator?

    Really excited to be building this commander specifically. She's the best kind of jank.

    Best thing curses have going for them is the fact that people typically don't run a ton of enchantment removal. They're slow and annoying, but typically not game-breaking. But stacked up they can easily win you the came. So to me this is a pillow fort/stacks deck with a twist.

    I play a similar deck to this. An absolute all-star is Barrin, Master Wizard. Especially with Dockside and Guilded Drake ^^

    What do you think about Paradox Haze? Enchantment that gives enchanted player an extra upkeep step on their turn, so you could reattach 2 curses and draw 4 from Lynde. Hits the general enchantment subtheme, helps keep you from ending up with too many curses to reattach, and (almost) in the words of the flex seal guy, that's a lot of drawage. It *is* a $10 card, so it's not incredibly budget, but the curses should be pretty cheap, so it might be worth it. Plus, I opened one from a Mystery Booster pack and have been trying to find a fun home for it ever since. Lynde seems like really fun jankiness.

      Really good but some upkeep triggers on curses will backfire.
      So the idea is to sac the curses.. it revived on your side then upkeep triggers. Which the curse negative effect hits you before you transfer it. So ideally you want to sac curses that has attack triggers.
      But yeah multiple upkeeps is amazing!

      @@amodking true, I hadn't considered that. A quick look on SF shows about a third of all the curses in Lynde's colors have upkeep triggers. How hard they nonbo with extra upkeeps varies, with 4 of 11 basically doing nothing, and the rest ranging from some damage to forced milling or sacrificing. TBF though, they nonbo with the timing of Lynde's reattachment ability regardless, and Paradox Haze just makes that issue worse. It might still be worth including IDK.

      @@derekludwig3945 problem is, the deck also wants attack triggers.. and you don't have any creatures to support those attack triggers.. but once again you want those to sac for the double upkeep triggers.
      That's the only issue i'm getting with the deck honestly. Though, Goad is a good direction to lean into for this.
      Also, Thornbite staff might be a direction sense the commander has death touch.

    holy hell how does a person keep track of all those effects? I really want a curse deck; my roommate plays a silverquill politic deck, if we worked as a team...

    Currently brewing Lynde myself. I think Blim works great in the deck to get rid of all the nasty stuff.

    • @derekludwig3945
      @derekludwig3945 3 роки тому +3

      If you mean Blim let's you move curses off of yourself, I don't think that's how that works. The player who controls an enchantment isn't (necessarily) the same as the player who it's attached to or who controls the permanent it's attached to. If I curse you, I still control the curse, even though it's attached to you. If I control a curse attached to me, then I give you control of the curse via Blim, the curse stays attached to me, I believe, but now I can't sac it or determine its order on the stack when it triggers. That's why Lynde specifically refers to attaching instead of control.
      If you meant that Blim let's you do something else in this deck other than how I interpreted it, please tell me as I'd be very interested in any way to improve a Lynde deck since curses aren't particularly great.

    Perilous Research, Tavern Scoundrel, Imprisoned in the moon, and perhaps Dreamshaper Shaman, since the chances of flipping into Curse are pretty decent.

    I feel like you need to run cheap mox rocks plus the mana rocks (Thran dynamo, guilded lotus, ancient tomb, all mana rocks beyond sol ring). Because some of these curses are so expensive, that you need to run zero mox rocks on turn 1 at least 2-3 mana pool. Otherwise, you can’t cast the curses quickly by turn 3 or turn 4. Basically, you need to mana ramp by turn 3 with at least 5-8 mana colorless from the rocks to pull this off. That’s how I think as a spendy edh player.

    How would the curse work being attached to you at the upkeep when you use lynde’s ability to move the curse. What is the curse still resolve against you even though it went to the new in chanted player?

      If you have a curse that triggers at the beginning of the upkeep, the the trigger will still apply to you.

    i wish this was a little more creature heavy. 10 doesn't feel like enough especially since a lot
    of people play tribals or voltron.

    • @CommanderVoid
      @CommanderVoid  3 роки тому +1

      Curse cards are dirt cheap because they don't really see a ton of play outside of a curse strategy.
