Wow, you did such a great job with this "pressed paper furniture". It looks so good with the flowers in front and the nice drawers. Thanks Sabrina for this video.
Thank you so much! "Pressed paper" 😂 love it!
I thought I liked a challenge but the piece you started with was a real piece of trash 😂😂😂😂 what a transformation though🤩 👌👏👏
Thank you! ❤️
Wow, what a beautiful job!
💜💜💜
Lovely, really nice!
Fabulous Sab. It turned out so good. Love the transfer.
Wonderful restoration and I like your choice of color scheme! I have alot of family heirlooms an some antiques... keep up the good work thanks for sharing 💟

How do you ship your pieces? Do you do it buy freight? Or do you box them up if its possible? Your furniture is amazing.
Hey Colton! Thank you! Yes I do ship my pieces through Uship. They blanket wrap them and deliver them safely for you. I have a Q&A video from a few weeks ago where I go into detail how to use Uship!
A word of caution.....a few years ago, I was sanding a piece with my orbital sander. Much like you I was encountering paper and glue that had to come off. Of note, I had not only washed the piece before sanding, I had used a stiff brush because there was so much dirt. As I sanded, layers of paper and glue were coming off fairly easily, but it seemed to be endless. I was working a whitish colored spot when red emerged. All of a sudden, the sander flew to ground, and something brushed my hair as it flew over my head. The sandpaper was stuck to the dresser, and the orbiting pad had pulled off the sander and flown over my head. The recoil of the pad being ripped from the sander is what caused the sander to end up on the floor. When I tried to pick up the sandpaper, I could not pull it from the dresser. I had to chisel the sandpaper off dresser and chisel off a really dense glue/resin material that had melted, attached to the sandpaper, and stopped the orbital sander from orbiting. All this to say, be careful when you are sanding glued material. I was very lucky that flying pad didn't actually hit me in the head and the sander didn't hit me. All I had was a sore wrist. I do love the replacement sander, and I'm much more careful about unexpected substances as I sand.
Oh no! A nightmare
Good reminder. I'm going to refinish kitchen cabinets. Must use scraper first, note to self.
Obviously a cheap piece since it's made from MDF and the slides are the cheapest around.... you did a lovely repair, stunning work :)
I laughed so hard at the smacking of the furniture, so u gained a subscriber because you made me laugh. The shape of the dresser is a very rococo style I would have used redesign with prima moldings to give even more ornate designs, cause these curved pieces of furniture are tough to find. Well maybe for the next curved piece you can consider doing that :D
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You really did work your magic in this one beautiful transformation!
Thank you!
Wonderful,,that piece was almost trash,,,you resurrected it,,,,beautiful
You did bring this piece back to life. It looks fantastic. 🌸❤️🌸
wow, you have patience & determination! Beautiful!
This is quite the transformation! That chest looked like it had a hard life. I really like the colors that you chose and that paper is beautiful. The silver leaf was just the extra touch it needed. Great job! 🙂👍
Thank you so much!
The result is great, although I wouldn't work on an MDF furniture, but it sure depends on the price you counted for it. Thank you for the video. You are alwyas an inspiration.
wow girl its amazing ... just found you and will subscribe ... gonna have 2 binge watch your other vids now

Amazing Sabs! The challenge of this piece would have pushed me over the edge! Your talent for repairing and restoring is above and beyond anything I know. This piece is stunning! I love everything you did. You are so talented. Just a side note lol… your voice is so soothing and gentle.
Thank you ❤️
I love these kinds of videos which show how to fix things you can encounter in old pieces.
you really did save some trash and turned into a vintage beauty
Thank you ☺️
You took a piece that needed a makeover in too a glamorous beauty💜💜💜
There was a beautiful, stylish historical chest of drawers, and you made a craft. Couldn't you just draw somewhere?
What?
aucun respect du meuble d"origine dommage
Wow, it looks fantastic!! I especially like what you did to the handles.
Thank you ♥️
It turned out beautiful. Perfect pieces for the transfer too. Well done.
Thank you!
You had me at the first look when I saw the shape! I’m in love with this piece!
❤️❤️
Love this piece, bet you were glad there were only 2 drawers.
💯🤣
Stunning change! Definitely from trash to treasure.
On my! This is quite a transformation! The work you put in on the dressers, the silver leaf, transfer and everything certainly paid off❣️
Thank you! ❤️
Wow, what a beautiful transformation. This now looks like a high end piece of furniture. Great job 💖
Thank you so much!
ruined....sorry
No. Whoever owned it before me "ruined" it. I gave it a chance to still be used for years to come instead of its ruined state being dumped in a landfill
You did such a great job on that piece. It looks lovely now. Love the color. Great choice.
I SAW A OMBAY CHEST AT MY LOCAL THRIFT STORE AND REALLY WANTED TO GET IT, BUT I NEED TO DOWNSIZE, NOT BRING MORE STUFF HOME, LOL! I WOULD LOVE TO DO SOMETHING WITH A BOMBAY CHEST THOUGH. I WISH THEY WOULD SELL TRANSFERS OF BEAUTIFUL CATS WITH SOME FLORAL FOLIAGE IN THERE TO MAKE IT MORE REALISTIC. YOURS TURNED OUT GRAY, BUT WHEN YOU WERE DONE PAINTING, BUT THE GRAY YOU LIKE SO MUCH ENDED UP ON SHOWING AT ALL.
That is a cool technique and does look like a cloud. The transfer is beautiful. It's good to know that Behr is a good option for chalk paint, totally accessible.
I liked b4 you scraped it with steel wool it looks to grungy for my taste but I'm sure someone will love it ty 4sharing 🥰😇
Ok, when you started with the black wax I thought you were gilding the lily, but I was wrong. Wow!
Appreciate the instructional nature of your video. Will check out Behr paints. Thanks!
And that's how you make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Very old saying but very apt in this instance.
My compliments on an unusual but very pleasing result. Thank you for sharing
I cannot believe how pretty this is when you are finished. Literally, silk purse from a sow's ear!
I am so surprised! I really didn't hold out too much hope for the beginning project, but you knocked it out of the park! It is so beautiful.
Thank you!
Sad that you had to remove the original red flower design. But, the transfer is pretty.
GREAT makeover very informative Kudos
WONDERFUL ❣️ ❣️ ❣️ GREAT JOB 👍👍👍SWEETY❣️❣️❣️
You are a true artist! I struggle so much with design and colors (of course I am just getting started), but that is why I love your channel! That silver paper looks intimidating to me lol. Would silver gilding wax work with the black wax over it?
You can use the gilding wax last. Just let you clear and black wax set for a few days and it may take a couple coats.
Wow... what an amazing job you did on this piece. I wasn't sure when you stippled the white on and thought no way will that work. You absolutely outdid yourself on this piece. I love it. What a beautiful transformation. I will not doubt you in the future. thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork. God bless.
Thank you so much! There was a definitely a point where it looked ugly again before it was pretty. ❤️
That is stunning, well done xxx
As soon as I saw this piece I could see so many things I could do with it. You did a great job making her pretty again. I love it
Thank you!
Ok the beginning definitely made me subscribe 😂❤
Once again, a well thought out plan to refurbish this sad Bombay chest. Great work, Sab. See you next time!!
Thank you!
You always rock my socks off!😆
Love everything about your little Bombay!
🙏
Thank you! ❤️
beautiful piece of furniture.. therapeutic watching
Great work, it’s very beautiful!
I have an antique that I have been trying to figure out how to redo, you gave me the greatest idea how to make it over. Thank you so much, you have made a silk purse out of a sows ear. I know, old saying.
Thank you! I hope your piece turns out wonderful!
I hope you didn’t pay for this piece. Does vinegar really completely and thoroughly clean furniture?
Yes! Vinegar is a great degreaser!
Oooooo! Very nice work!! So pretty and I love the extra details that you added! Great ideas!! 😊
Thank you
Girlfriend you did a bangin job on that dresser!!!!!!!!! 😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍
Thanks! 🥰
Love the colors, beautiful transfor print and love siliver. Sooo amazing.
💜💜💜
very pretty...may try this on small 3 drawer dresser.
I love watching you !! Beautiful
Thanks so much! Picked up a mirror from the trash and this video showed up right on time so that I can use some of your techniques!
Awesome!!!
It is beautiful. It would have been more perfect with a couple of coats of paint on the inside of the cabinet. That would not bother some people, but it bothered me.
Factories don't color the insides of dressers so why should we?
I have been watching yr channel for a couple of hrs today what works of art u produced . Also a new fan of Angie u 2 rock
Aww Thank you!
Interesting - is the sock on the orbital sander because you didn't have a dust catcher for it, or does it catch more dust this way??
🤣 My sock is because my original dust catcher bag had a blow out. So, my "fix" was to duct tape a spair sock on it.
Boy , you’ve got some talent….was it apparent during your school years ?
Yes. I have always loved art. 😍
Amazing transformation indeed!! Very pretty and feminine. Love it !!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful work!
Great job! But what a pity sanding on the Chinese laca....
What a pity how ruined the previous owner let that piece get.
Beautiful, i love it, hi frm the philippines always watching here.
Thank you ❤️
Beautiful.
You are a furniture artist.
So beautiful! I really love how you work...For sure youre the best!!
❤️🥰 Thank you do much!
Beautiful I want to learn how to redo furniture how can I start I know some but want to know more
Watch lost of UA-cam. Lol. I have a playlist on my channel with tips and advice for newbies.
Question for you…. I’ve been working on removing terrible damaged veneer from a cedar chest for my son. I’ve lost ambition because I don’t know if I should prime it or what!
If you are painting it I would prime. If you are staining then primer is not needed.
@@SabsRehabs I am going to paint it. I’ve never painted directly over cedar and it really affected me being able to finish it. My son is super upset with me. I flip a lot of furniture and donate it. So he sees me doing all this other stuff while his sits out in the garage. I figured as much I needed to prime it. I just haven’t seen anyone paint directly over cedar. Thank you so much!!
This is AMAZING!! You did a great job!!
Thank you
Some people shouldn't be allowed to have furniture.
Are you referring to the before or after? At first I thought your comment was meant for the after and thought how rude! BUT I forgot I smacked the furniture with my gloves (lol) because how the previous owner treated their furniture. They damaged it so much!
Very beautiful but I need ask you where you bay the stekar flower thank you
On Etsy
Looks amazing....my favorite colors!!!
Thank you ☺️
Great video Sab. That black wax bought it all together. So many great layers and texture. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Был оригинальный шкаф. Сделали обычный, современный. Нет. Это переделка, а не реставрация.
I didn't say it was a restoration
You worked a miracle!
I love it too. Great vision.
It’s lovely…one question….wouldn’t it be easier to place the chest on its back to apply the transfer?
It's a sticker so it sticks. No need to place it on its back
@@SabsRehabs thanks ✌🏼
