They come from Ukraine, and this music video tells the story of a man-made famine in Soviet Ukraine in 1932 and 1933 that killed millions of Ukrainians - it's also known as the Terror-Famine and Famine-Genocide in Ukraine. You don't even have to understand the lyrics since the video tells the story also.
Let me thank you for the request! I hadn't heard of them before but I like what I hear; it's always nice to find new good stuff. The imagery they used is powerful.

I think every country have an own tragic history, so I wont to talk about this story, is not my thing to express any rights about this subject. But this song very emotional presents all the feelings of innocent people, becouse every nation has got those who pay too much for being innocent.

Knowledge of language is not necessary. You can understand everything from the video. A little hint: this girl personifies of Ukraine in the past. This song is about the tragic history of my country and about people who ultimately gave their lives and souls for the sake of Ukraine.
We do not have people whom this grief would not hurt. In those damn years in every family, someone died of hunger. Damn Soviet time.

в живую эти парни вообще душу рвут, если будут где петь рекомендую не пропускать ни в коем случае
чому ви всі зациклюєтеся на голодоморі? в кліпі не одноразово просковзують роки (дати) тобто мова йде не лише про голодомор, в цьому кліпі я побачив всю історію різноманітних форм геноциду від "братньої" держави, це й розстріли та репресії, це голодомор, це взагалі про поневолення України, ми вже 300 років як окупованні россією і лише зараз намагаємося звільнитися від кайданів, саме про це, на мою думку, йде мова в кліпі та пісні.

Hello!! I'm SOOO late but damn I've been tired in these last few days and I just didn't have enought energy to concentrate in new music when I finally had time in the evenings do sorry about that.... BUT☝️ I'm trying😬😌
It was pretty hard to find any information about them because when I took a quick look, every link lead me to pages that were full of cyrillic letters so I guess your beautiful girlfriend would be better to tell you about them than me but if I understood correctly they are from Ukraine..🤔.. I think I saw some mention of word "Ukraine" at some point and I think they have that Slavic sound in their style too so I guess that country isn't far from the truth atleast! 🤔
This was a pretty nice song and there was very emotional feeling in the melody and singing and I could hear that deeper meening even I didn't understand a word!! Those softer and more powerfull parts were mixed very well together and such a beautiful instrumentation and he has a very pleasant voice too!! I had some "Sòlstafir"-vibe from this at some point🤔.. was it the melody or the powerful singing parts🤔, I don't know but anyway this was great moodmusic song and I liked it and I'm sure that at the right mood I will listen this again!! Perhaps not going to my playlist but definetily on my "watch later-list".. 🤘the video was guite haunting and captivating and I liked the compination with the songs!!
