I think it's obvious the song is about saying goodbye. Sumire to her sister, Maruki to his ideal world, the Phantom Thieves to each other. Part of me likes to think no matter where they are, they all meet at leblanc once a year, just to catch up, have some of Sojiro's coffee, and enjoy each other before going back to their lives.
I know that the internet is not a place to speak your feelings openly, when I hear him sing, I can almost sing the same, and it reminds of my grandmother, I lost her at thirteen. I found the vocal version only first in a big time of my need. without this song sung by you, I wouldn't have been able to love myself without wasting years of my life. Thank you, Akane.
Have been playing Persona 5 Royal for three years, this song never stops hitting me hard. Helping to remind me that are others out there that suffer from the same pain day after day. Singing along with both the JP and ENG version of this song tends to fill me with happiness. In all honesty, Our Light is the most heartwarming song I've heard in my 18 years of gaming and I thank you from the bottom of my heart in making the ENG version of this already heartwarming song

Last night, around 4am PST, I finally beat Royal's 3rd semester for the first time, after having to wait 2 months for PS4 repairs. Hearing this song at the end of the game made me tear up, I'm not gonna lie. Having finally heard your take on the song, I can say with confidence that I prefer this version to the original. Your voice works amazingly for this song, and the lyrics hit even harder in English. Amazing work, as always, Can't wait to see what else you have in store.

It works for all the Phantom Thieves, who now walk toward their unknown destinies after shedding blood, sweat, and tears, but it just is so poignant with her there. Amazing cover!
My introduction to P5 was through Royal, I was told she was romanceable, so I friended everyone else (even Ann and Takemi, two of my favorites), just to get her. She was so worth the wait. I fell in love with Kasumi during the festival. I fell in love with Sumire at Rank 6.

I knew what I was getting myself into before I started Royal (as in, she's a bit more limited in terms of the romance route for various reasons) but as soon as I met her in game, I was forever charmed. She's also just awesome. Her Persona awakening had me in tears.

I much prefer the acapella cover since the lack of instruments makes the song feel like such a raw feeling of emotion and hits me a lot harder, but since it isn't meant to be acapella going to say that I still enjoy this, just wanted to gush over your acapella more because it hits me like a train. Although this still hits me like a truck and I can feel the tears rising out of my eyes, fuck man. Really good work it is pushing tears out of me.

I had never seen this song as Sumire referring to her sister- I had always seen it from Joker or Marukis perspective, but it makes so much sense- she knows that when she wakes up, Kasumi is no more. I guess all the perspectives fill this, huh haha. Funny how that works
The best part about it is that it could all be true. It could be all of the phantom thieves, unsure if they'll ever see their best friends again. It could be Joker, lamenting Akechi's possible death, but knowing his and his friends strengths are with him.. It could be Sumire, learning to fight through the pain of her sister's death. It could even be Maruki, regretting the choices hes made that came to this and feeling bad for losing his way like he did, but thanking the thieves for teaching him a lesson. Thats why i love this song, and this game as a whole. So much is told, yet so much is open to interpitation. This game may not be perfect (COUGH COUGH OKUMERA) But without a doubt, it has become one if my favorite games ever, if not my favorite as a whole.
