Just been diagnosed with this had a bad back for 11 years then moved to my ribs and chest bone and shoulder . It’s awfully painful I really hope the pain relief meds will work for me . Amazing to hear this story thank you
It would have bee nice to be told what turned Amanda's life around. I guess she was put on one of the new biosimilar medicines. There can be complications with these though.
You can reverse your Ankylosing Spondylitis by changing your diet which involve stop eating gluten foods like wheat, rye, barley, stop eating grains like rice, corn, oath, stop eating night shades like pepper, white, red or yellow potatoe (you can eat sweet potatoe), stop eating vegetable oils, peanut, stop eating fried foods. stop eating processed foods, stop eating white sugar, stop eating pasta, bread, dairy (milk), eggs, chicken. You can make smoothies like blending green vegetables like kale, spinach, cucumber, you can also cook vegetables, eat a lot of vegetables, eat coconut, avocado, eat home prepared/made whole foods like sweet potatoes, yams and beans. You can also do exercise like walking, cycling
They should put more emphasis on the importance of diet for managing autoimmunity, for me, carnivore diet has delivered some impressive gains. Unfortunatly I've already got quite a lot of damage throughout my body, that cannot be reversed. But I agree that with diet you can put this into remission. When I get a flare up now I fast for a few days and it really does stop it progressing too.
It’s not disabling for everybody. With diagnosis and treatment many people live normal lives. If treatment doesn’t work or spinal fusion occurs and you are significantly impaired then it would qualify you for disability.
because that would be sexist. and you are incorrect. AS affects everyone differently. You need to do more research because your knowledge on AS is ancient and limited.
@@ktcee803 Am talking on the basis of live examples & different Rhemutologist opinions.I myself fighting with AS since 2015.So,please don't tell me about ancient & limited knowledge.Do you have AS?
@@kashishhans06 yes I have AS. Only being diagnosed in 2015, you should be on biologics and you too can be as amazing as the person on the tv segment! I was pointing out that everyone's journey with AS is different and we all respond to pain and inflammation differently. Just because this person is female should not disqualify her from being on the show. She is incredibly healthy because she has been having treatment, she works hard to take care of herself and credit should be given for that. Rather than being jealous and bitter as you are showing yourself to be. Please grow a couple and try supporting others. Practice it. It'll get easier as you do.
Also what i meant was at first place that the progression of As in male spine occurs fast.Ofcourse the symptoms varies from person to person. But in general, conditions for males are quite worst after few years.

Why is it not seen as a disability?

B
It is in some countries.
It does qualify as a disability
In the United States it is considered a disability.
First of all in females the progression of AS is quite slow. That's why she looks incredibly healthy. Why don't you get a male person on your show.🤔
