you need to clean the date palms vines from the old leaves bases below , this way you will protect your palms from deseas, harmful insects, and parasites , cleaning vines also improve your prodution in quantity and quality , besides and very important you will consume less water , this is how we do it here in Iraq.
I have a hard time beleiving this is in the Arizona 😁. Looks more like an OASIS in southern Morocco. Btw , mejdool is a Moroccan dates variety sometimes labeled as "Queen of dates". It was imported in the US 1930. Amazing Job! Keep up.
I have been given to understand that one can't eat Medjool date fresh (Khalal stage) as they are bitter in taste but are best when ripe (Tamar stage), is this correct ?
That’s awesome. I am growing 6 madjool dates from seed at the moment. They have been growing for about 10months. I’ve only got a few more years until I see some date. Well that’s if it lasts anyway
I guess Im asking randomly but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
Florida is similar too the Middle East as well particularly the bay areas up the southeast and southwest coasts and a lot of rural dry areas in the lower middle of the state
I’ve grown them okay it depends what part of Florida dates particularly don’t do well in humidity but the medjool variety does do well in humid environments northern Florida I don’t think you’d have great results tampa area at Pete Lakeland boca/west palm Miami Sarasota all those areas I’ve had success before Orlando-North was a bit harder I’d say the few years I lived that way up the winters were much cooler and it rained a lot more
Hi, are you looking for any internships or employment? Just graduated in agricultural sciences and would love to get some experience and knowledge on farming dates!
I'm not an expert, but I know they do not use insecticides and pesticides on the dates grown here in Yuma... however, they might elsewhere... so washing them or wiping them off before serving might be a good idea... as with most produce.
drip irrigation is the most efficient, environmentally friendly, the best water economy and perfect control over irrigation. it should be used around the world in EVERY orchard and garden, saving 90% of the wasted irrigation water and soil salinization.
I try to eat organic so pesticides aren't used or over sprayed on to other wild flowers that could potentially kill pollinators. I understand that the current system isn't really working, but we need to find a way that keeps pollinators safe
As part of the public, we need to just keep reminding our food sources that we do care about the poisons they use... and to buy from those who do not use poisons... I know easier said than done, but you have to start somewhere.
What an amazing fruit. Our Creator is simply amazing and it is evident that we were designed to eat this type of fruit look at the height and the fashion in which is grows almost begging to be eaten and for it's seed to be thrown on the Mother Earth as she will sprout anew. Killing animals for food is an aberration and this is more proof to me.

Do you verify the manure for traces of antibiotic residues, or do you source the manure from organically raised sources?
This video was done years ago and we are no longer in touch with the same farmer.

I have a question, should we wash the dates before eating it or it safe to eat without washing?
