You did so good man, I've said this before, there's probably 99.9% of people who would just write the car off after what happened but you opened up so many doors for people showing them that you don't need to be a professional shop fix damage like that, keep it up man we're all rooting for ya
Unless your a utuber, this would not be financially worthwhile or be achievable within the free time available for those with full-time jobs. That's what is great about this platform. It's inspiring.
for real though i feel like this really put into perspective of how hard work can literally change anything you want in life not trying to even be weird but its just wild seeing what happened to how it looks now just wild genuinely inspires
It sitting in the garage with the light on made it look kinda angelic or heavenly or something. Like the cartoons when you dream of something you want and it's got that glow to it
17:46 That shot reminds me of background from the Wangan Navigator (a compatible app for the arcade game Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6/6R/6RR + possible latest update) when the light looks like that + a car that sits. The “bestfriend vibe” part that I watched, I wish it could be happened to me and my friends/my former classmates by having a good time & sharing about the problems of me and my friends’ personal lives + with a car or bicycle in a place of hangout.
Let's get Mike to 100K he truly deserves it so if your not subbed what are you waiting for.We have something in us that we always root for the underdog.
So glad to see you enjoying this car dude. Funny thing is that after the 6 months of building my new engine for my car the turbo blew up too, so I know your pain.
I love seeing how far this car has come I can’t wait to see it finally complete. I feel like we’ve all been here on this incredible journey and can’t wait to see the end result!
Since the turbo blew up, pull the engine and paint the bay. On the bare metal use epoxy primer, it'll bite in to the metal better. At the same time get that quarter on there! I'm ready to see you covered I'm bondo dust getting the body work finished and ready for paint!!
That’s crazy the cars running and driving man. When I flipped my wrx I get so defeated and wanted nothing to do with the car and just parted it out. Looking back I regret not fixing it.
I absolutely love you videos man. I am 23yro and live in Romania, I drive a skoda fabia mk1 which my mother bought brand new when I was 7yro, and honestly I love that car and would probably do the same as you did even though my car is not RWD and doesn't have that much HP (it's a 1.4 TDI) but I still love it. You inspired me to start working on it myself and I can't thank you enough. Wish you all the best and I can't wait to see another video.
Trust me Mike mechanical failures are only a small hiccup compared to what you are capable of. You are on the last cliff face of the mountain and I believe you can get to the top keep on achieving man been here since the beginning
Thanks for this video. I had a ls swapped square body that blew up this summer after having rebuilt the engine. It was my first drive out with it in over a year and it threw a rod. You gave me the motivation to bring it back to life over the winter. Just picked up a forged short block for it. Gotta keep those good vibes going!
Kinda hard to explain, but in that shot at the end, when the 240 was in the garage, it really did look proud to be there, looking the way it does, I could feel those vibes through my screen lol, means you did something incredibly Right. I'm so happy you got to this point and I cannot wait to see this continue
Man, looking at your 240 knowing what it's been through is just astounding. It's truly inspiring, and I genuinely hope this feeling resonates with other 240SX owners to preserve their S chassis. Brilliant!
That accidente was a crusade for life. Congrats for share your experience!! Nothing in life happens for coincidences, that had a purpose whitin. Be sure to rate it.
everyone would've just gotten a new shell. Respect to you, for putting in the hours, and getting this thing back from the dead! its better than before the crash
Your turbo may have gone but its a fix you can easy do cant wait for the car to be done fully and in one colour the amount of work you have done you should be proud of yourself
Mike- You are such an inspiration!! Having recently gone thru a rough divorce, I'm piecing my life back together and although this might seem a odd parallel- Seeing you rebuild this car just shows that no matter how messed up things get... you can always rebuild. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
Like all of your friends were saying in the video.... I've never seen anybody repair a car that was that damaged. I'm very impressed with the way the car has turned out 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 anybody else would have just got a new car... you should be very proud of yourself 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Delighted for you mike to not only go for a test drive. But to actually build the car back up after the crash.. looking forward to seeing the final result with new paint.. sending good vibes from ireland.. 👍
Dude , Seeing this Car Almost Fully Done is amazing and probably even more amazing for you. It Nice To See you have such nice and supportive Friends. I Just love this Car I cant wait to see it have the Rear Quarter panel Done , Glass and It one color. Keep it up man❤
Great video Mike. Once you get that rear quarter in and finish up the welding on the b pillars you can get it ready for paint! Regards from Ireland as always man!
You seriously did a good job. No one would usually repair a car that was crashed so badly but Mike, you went to a degree that I’ve never seen. Good job! ps. I spent the whole of last weekend watching the whole playlist.
You are fr one of the biggest inspirations on UA-cam in the car community, you’ve come so far with the 240 and I can’t wait to see it with the hatch and new quarter
What happened to you most people would have part out the car and sent it to the crusher but you said no I will fix her I have big respect you for fixing her love the vid ❤❤
After watching your vids lately I've decided to get an s chassis and I found someone just parting them out and got a s14 and 2 s13s to try and save from the junk yard can't wait to start mine
this is so awesome man. probably the most motivating thing i've seen all year, maybe more. your 240 rebuild has been so inspirational for me, and it's helped me pick myself back up during a hard time i've been having lately. i wrote a bit more about it in an instagram message a while ago but i'm not sure if you check those, so i thought i'd leave a short comment lol keep it up dude!!!!
What a journey we went through with your restoration. No matter what hit you, you always handled with a smile. You are awesome. Congratulations to you.
this is the kind of thing that keeps me motivated to build my project cars and to put in the numerous hours of work to just afford it thanks mike you are a true inspiration.
Good shit bro, yea i say that alot but im being serious, you put in so much time and money into the car, so many parts from dead projects that were revived into a new one. Its amazing on the progress so far and its amazing.
Thank you for saving your car instead of scrapping it like so many do over such minor things. I have a Miata with a hole in the quarter and an engine that barely runs, the only advice I get is to scrap it and I constantly get breakers trying to buy it for next to nothing and I'm like.. Fix the quarter, give it a paint job and tune the engine and it's a perfectly good car near minty OE condition. Especially these days when all modern cars are so bland, gutless, generic white cross over SUV or some engineless soulless piece of garbage, older cars, fun cars, are just becoming so rare and sought after.
Just loving all your videos, great work and plenty to do in future vids,I am looking forward to the day you complete the job.But then on to some of your other projects I hope. Cheers Gary.
It's funny how what'd normally be an absolutely catastrophic, potentially car-ending failure only feels like a bump in the road for this car. A blown turbo? Psh, it'll be fine!! Without a doubt the most special build, and special car I've seen on UA-cam. Keep this one around forever, it's worth it.
screw what we say in the comments... your friends said it all... thank you for taking us with you and showing us no matter what "you can improve your situation". Legit should have 10x the subscribers you do and humble about it. Please keep at it and make us a 10 minute build video so we can show everyone that's on the verge of quitting 🤘
Honestly, I have seen a lot of chassis repair and body panel repairs, and yours is the most amazing. To get those lines closely knit when you showed us the front bumper and fender is amazing. I can't believe you've come this far, many would have thrown in the towel, but you stuck by your baby and the rewards are showing.
Holy cow man! The resurrection of your 240 has been incredible to watch, it feels so good to see you reaping the rewards of all your hard work. Seeing what you're accomplishing without a fancy shop, without thousands of dollars in tools, and without giving the naysayers a second thought is truly inspirational to us fellow garage DIYers. Your no excuses attitude makes me realize I can step it up on my own project and your positivity makes me excited to rise to the challenge. Keep doing you and we'll all be better for it!
you've come so far, and you're probably exhausted, and out of motivation, but don't slow down yet. it's so close! look at that list. i'd start with the rear quarter asap. (:
I started watching this project couple months ago, and i gotta say i didn't believe i would see this thing back on the road this soon that's crazy! Amazing work, love to watch your content honestly.
Believe I came to this channel because of the crash and my mind is just blown. Absolutely bravo to you man. Hard ass work and dedication. She’s so close
I'm so happy for you, this proves that you should never listen to people telling you that you can't, you -ARE- the motivation for the rest of us, thanks for this series, I can't wait to see her fully painted looking like nothing ever happened!
I gotta say you have heart, and determination to fix this car. I'm a new sub on UA-cam but have followed for years on insta. I thought you had lost your damn mind when u said u were gonna rebuild it. I sold my literally mint 91 hatch, never drifted, 100% stock, uncracked dash, unripped seats, stock radio 89k car. 2 months later a dude pulled out in front of me in my 02 is300 and I tboned him at 45 totaling it. I regret selling my shell so badly.... I could've atleast tossed my 2jz-ge in it.... especially with the insurance money and injury check. Now I have no car.
Ah that poor poor banana!!! Now she's a beautiful peach again !! Almost perfect like I said before you need to look into a career as a moble repair and mechanic, your skill is outstanding and your patience is key dude 👌 😀 👍.
i started to folow you when the picture of your crashed car apear on my Instagram. I was sad about the car, thinking that would be gone.... I was sceptical when you started to disassemble him, thinking that would never be finished, but after each video... each photo in instagram i was becaming happier for the car and for you.... seeing at the street last videos it's awesome... Sorry for my bad english.. but ... congrats... you are awesome man....
I love this rebuild, coming from a horrible t-bone crash to this. it’s so nice to see this thing being rebuilt rather than being passed off or thrown somewhere and never seen again.
Updated the list in the parking area. LMAO. This car has such a legendary story. Mad respect bro! Thanks for taking the time to share it with us all. You have no idea how many people have the courage to do some of this because of you.
Thank you for always giving me the drive to wrench on my car like ive always wanted to, you're a huge inspiration and im super happy to see the car back together and semi on the road even with the kinks and things!
I love to see it, I’m so happy that you took the time and dedication to bring it back to life instead of giving up like other people would. I can’t wait to see the driver QP to be welded in and painted
Absolutely extraordinary. Mike you are the Picasso of car building. I totally agree with your friends that you have re-created a masterpiece. The perfect Frankenstein. Great job!!👍❤️🇨🇦
Watching your videos ever since the crash a year ago has truly been insane I absolutely love seeing this car every time it pops up on my UA-cam it always sparks some sort of energy or motivation to do something or get something done just in life and to keep pushing no matter what, seeing your face after that crash when you took that video was insane and opened a lot of our eyes I feel. Thank you bro❤️🔥
So excited to see it at this point, and what’s next. This video is making me so excited for winter to be over so I can cruise with my friends again. Those are some of the best memories as a car enthusiast.

Getting devil Z vibes from the anime wangan midnight. Only in a 180sx body. Especially the end just chilling in the garage

“Open up doors” sounds rather ironic in this case😅

Watching your videos ever since the crash a year ago has truly been insane I absolutely love seeing this car every time it pops up on my UA-cam it always sparks some sort of energy or motivation to do something or get something done just in life and to keep pushing no matter what, seeing your face after that crash when you took that video was insane and opened a lot of our eyes I feel. Thank you bro❤️🔥
So excited to see it at this point, and what’s next. This video is making me so excited for winter to be over so I can cruise with my friends again. Those are some of the best memories as a car enthusiast.
It is honestly impressive to see what the car is starting to become again! Mad props to you! Keep pushing to the end!
