Yes, if he's on Tier 2 visa, it counts. But if he's working under his dependant visa, it doesn't. That would mean the longest route to settlement, which is 10 years just like you. Yes, you can applybfor another masters or PhD. But you can't have the post study visa twice

If you are studying for a B. Sc. you won't be able to bring them. If on a post graduate course beyond 9 months then you are good to go.

You can wait for 1 or 2 months but you know they can't stay more than 6 months. They can stay for like 3 months then leave and come back.

Yes you can just make sure you apply to a school that sponsors foreign students and you can probably join as child's mother to take care of him/her.
