Check out the Store: growling-sidewinder.creator-spring.com/ Thank you for watching guys, btw a few times in the video I say "TDC Down to designate" what I actually mean by "down" is press or "depress" so just keep in that in mind as you watch the video. Anyway thanks again for watching and I hope you enjoyed the video. All the best.
Holy cow so I used to be a merchant marine deck officer on container ships sailing mainly from the US East Coast to middle east/India so I have been through Suez a lot of times. When you turned on the ground radar, I looked up through the HUD and could see the whole south end of the canal from Suez to Little Bitter Lake and let me just say I am not used to seeing that all at the same time lol.
Hi Growling, I just wanted to let you know that today I started my DCS trip. After watching your videos for almost a year I decided it was time. I'm running open track with a basic webcam and an old Saitek X52 that my parents bought me in like 2006 (I used to play Falcon 4.0) Pretty basic setup but I think it'll serve me well
ED needs a JSTARS to help with the A/G the same way their AWACS does with A/A. My oldest brother was on one during Enduring Freedom, and they could see Mopeds from 40nm.
@@thedishonoredamerican129 Both are in the makes, but none is there yet. Magnitude 3 is working on the F-8J, but I forgot the name of the team that announced the MiG-17F last year... **quick google** Red Star Simulations.
Thanks for another entertaining video. As for the second TU-22, there really wouldn’t have been much left of it after a GBU-12, even if it missed by 10-20 metres, which it didn’t.
They say when they created the A10 that they built a big gun and strapped a plane to it. Well with the F-15 they built a radar and stapped it to a plane....😂
What a basically accurate tech that the F-15E has. I think I can suggest that you can make a merging dogfight between it and the F-15C or any of the flankers as well. Don't forget also my suggestion about a BVR and BFM game between the MiG-29 and the Su-57 felon. Well, at least you've done decent previews of this new module anyways. Great flying GS!
The NAVFLIR is very useful. In the AV-8B Harrier II NightAttack Razbam already showed, how good it is, especially in combination with NVGs. The real game changer is the sophisticated A/G radar. 😊
Seems like you would want to pull nose-up and toss from a range that the laser can still maintain illumination. Avoid flyover. Pop and notch, so to speak.
Man i was really in doubt to buy the Eagle or not, because i thought its just another bluefor jet.. but after seeing this video and some others i just bought it🎉 looks awesome!
Some sour grapes over at the Forum don’t like the fact that you guys get the hands on first 😅 I don’t mind. Please keep them coming. I heard the version modelled was of the year 2005, which was not that old.
well people need to understand that the module isn't finished yet, not to a point that razbam is comfortable releasing it. But it's done enough that they don't mind content creators showing it off and building excitement. At the end of the day, razbam is a company and is motivated to make money to survive; the more money they make the more modules they will make and the more support they can offer for their current modules. The people who are upset that the module is being given to content creators and not the public YET, need to just be a little more patient and razbam and ED will release it when they feel its ready, after all its their product and it reflects on them so they have every right to wait and release it in whatever state they deem worthy of their brand. respect to everyone else who is taking a more mature approach and simply watching the videos and enjoying them from all DCS content creators until the product is finally released. This is the way.
@@GrowlingSidewinder Echo: this is The Way. Well, As an ex-developer myself, a piece of software like this with so many “moving parts” (sorry pun intended) is very complex. What ED has been trying to improve on quality and I respect RAZBAM is working on this. Yeah, I have heard those stories too. No easy feat and QA perfection is not something there is a day or two. I understand you guys may not be able to say what might be wrong in the preview version, and what you guys showing is part of a very large picture which by no means reflecting the current status of the module. Keep up the good work. I always learn a lot and what not from your videos.
I just don't get it. Those guys whining now that a "select elite" is able to play the stuff "they" have paid for months ago already typically are the first to whine at max volume once the thing is released and something is broken still. I've seen that over and over again and it's clearly not going to change. Just keep on doing what you do. I appreciate getting some footage early, especially once it's the tutorials that help me getting started a lot better than just a dry manual.
Interesting thing is that Russian SAM systems Buk-M2 and 3, I think, have the radar capability to map the terrain, pick a specific target based on picture shown and then launch the missile at it. So, it can be used to hit a pretty small ground targets pretty accurately. Not sure if they kept the ability or gave up on it. S-300, for example, can be used as ground-to-ground missile system based on its inertial navigation part...
I know what RIO did in Tomcat, but what is WSO's task and how it helps the pilot during the combat mission? As far as I see now you are doing all the weapon stuff too.
The WSO typically does the same stuff a RIO does. Work the radar, designate targets, communicate with ground forces, etc. I'm guessing GS is doing everything by himself so that he can learn the Strike Eagle. Plus, I'm sure Jester gave him AI backseater PTSD.
The WSO does the same stuff as the RIO, allowing the pilot to concentrate on flying and employing weapons. One difference is the MFDs in both cockpits are fully configurable so, for example, the pilot can see the same radar screen as the WSO, maintaining full situational awareness without having to do all the work to acquire it. I have no idea if the DCS F15E will allow for a live WSO, 30 years ago Microprose’s F15 Strike Eagle III did but Janes F15 didn’t when it came out 5 years later.
They have a lot of different liveries for the other nations, but not all of modules have them. User made liveries are usually the way to go if you want specific nations
Hey Guys, any idea what does the rio do in F15E in DCS?! Anything except jumping out of the fighter jet and change the radio band when it is playing my favourite song?

That paint job looks cool af in the thumbnail. My fav is the SU series and all the cool paint jobs they get
Do the J20 vs su57!!
when does this come out?
What is that song you use for your channel? I.e. in the end at 15:09? Sounds familiar to me, but I just quite figure it out ...

I love the F-15E, it’s one of my favorite planes. So glad Razbam has made a module for DCS
*Still making*
That ground radar + t-pod combo is what I'm using all the time in the Hornet too, here it's much much more capable.

X52 is popular for DCS and many other games. You'll do just fine.
Welcome to DCS World. You won’t be disappointed :)
you're off to a great start, great to hear new people getting into DCS I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Let’s get that mig-17 vs crusader video
F**k yes. Love the Last Gunfighter.
Is there even a F-8 module in development for DCS yet? Because I honestly would get DCS just for the F-8.
Wait..they have a F8 in the game!!!??? I have been waiting for them to put a crusader into the game need info on where I can get it please

This great stuff GS keep the strike Eagle stuff coming
Imagine what they're developing now for the future is going to be able to do. Insane.
Reminds me of the old days playing Strike Eagle 3 and Jane's F-15E. Great video!
I like that you use a different soundtrack in the end and it's not shortened. Thanks
That radar is exceptional. Once we get gbu-38 it will become invaluable
Love that you did a second hit, left no parts to be used on repairing another bird!
Love the cinematic qualities in your videos! Informative, educational and beautiful. Great work bud!
15:03 love the cinematics at the end eagles are just different 😮💨
I think night operations, campaign style, would be awesome.
Nice radar capabilities
Such a versatile plane. Love the F-15 air to ground stuff!!
Thank you Growler for this top quality content including my favorite fighter!
The F-15E: because sometimes you need an A-10 that can cruise Mach 1.4 without sweating.
Outstanding video 🔥🔥
Idea for the "mini docs" channel. The evolution from the Tu-22 "Blinder" to the Tu-22M "Backfire".
Would love. And please do make some jokes about the "booze carrier" thing... :D
f-15 has to be one of my fav jets, also good vid.
Awesome, would love to see more night/low light videos
Awesome aircraft. Hope you’ll make many air to ground videos with it
Nice! Love the F-15E
The F-15 is so nice
I'm so sick of resetting the Hornet laser switch after every bomb. This is great!
i love all the work you have been doing with the F15, it has been my favorite since i was a kid.

how do you switch to the target external view before the bomb hits?
Thanks :)

How about a naval Presidential protection situation? Two Super hornets escorting a 747 challenged by 3 Naval Flankers?
Could you set a long trajectory and a short trajectory to chain drop GBU's on targets (lined up) close to each other?
Buddy, whats is your aircraft favorite?
love ur content bro!
Love the strike packages would love to see the capability in pitch dark with anti aircraft trying to shoot you down
Does DCS capture any significant differences between the various nationalities of F15 strike eagles? Like say the F15I v F15SA v F15SG v F15J etc
If I recall there will be other variants. But not at release. I'm not sure which ones. But if it is like the F-16 modders will be on it.
