My dad did about that many years maintaining them after the 111, in fact he still probably works on the very jet in this video as a civilian. Greatest military aircraft ever built. Thanks for your 21 years

How is it “mission accomplished” if you didn’t get revenge on that SA-13? That should have been the final boss fight to really establish Strike Eagle dominance.
Greetings from Argentina, very happy to once again be an ally of the US and happy with the new acquisition of the 24 F-16s for our air force. I like watching your legendary missile duels, it's my daily drug. A hug and good wishes from Argentina
content like this is what got me into dcs. how could anyone not want to watch a dude in an f15 dodge every missile like hes been doing it his whole life and not wanna try
Since I was a little kid I have always loved all variants of the Eagle. I know the 5th Gens are fantastic but the F-15 will always be my favourite. Beautiful; adaptable, resilient, deadly. And with a radar that can seemingly pierce the fabric of space-time. What a bird!
A Strike Eagle & a Warthog video B2B? Glorious! Someday I’ll be on DCS, flying was my dream until the recruiter said, “No, you’re just a year or two too old to become an officer and get through flight school however, if you want to get that close to and F-16 your testing suggests you’d be a great flight mechanic.” I can’t believe I passed on that offer. I kick myself every time I think of it. (Just an aging man yelling at clouds here)
AMEN! 3rd time the charm with the F15 nothing can escape the eye of the eagle! Man I love the way you put in the technical aspects of the eagle,it is probably the best weapons platform I have seen! Totally amazing!!
Just have to have the right tool for the job. Congrats on a flawless mission. You didn't even get your flight suit dirty. Back at home before the game.
No wonder they used a bunch of F-15s in Desert Storm, you gotta override the AA & SA capabilities of the bandits with sheer quantitative precision along with the baseline quality that every American Platform comes with.
The Strike Eagle is indeed one of the best multi-role birds ever made. In the 4th gen class of course. The standoff capability of the JDAM is what really won the day for you. If you're flying close enough to a target to get engaged by an SA-13, you are flying too close.
Right at the start of the video, I imagined the maintenance crew chiefs for the F-18, the F-16 and the F-15E placing bets on whether GS will make it through this mission this time.
The ability to generate a high resolution map on the fly (heh, fly) is impressive as shit. I didn't even consider that being one of the functions of a fighter and the amount of use you could get out of it.

When many of the newer Aircraft came out after the F15 Eagle, Chuck Yeager made a dog fight challenge to any pilot in ANY of the newer aircraft. Not one single pilot accepted his challenge. They all knew not only that was his favorite aircraft, but also knew he had more flight hours and years than any of them did by far. Back then was hoping at least one would try just in being a good sport about it. It was real Aircraft with real weapons that locked on for the kill, but they didn't fire to kill a pilot, it just sent the kill to be recorded. Done in flight training many times.
It'd be interesting to see how the 16XL would perform in this mission since the strike eagle and the XL were allegedly competing against each other at one time.
I mean, the F16 was meant as a cheaper F15 that is also the master of dogfighting, so using the F15 is basically using an F1 car instead of the rally car. I think I saw that the engineers of the F16 remade the F16 after they realized that the mission set would be different as what was initially assumed (aka more general instead of purely dogfighting) and it came out a delta wing with massive capacity for ordinance, but unfortunately the air force wasn't interested in a jet that basically had a very similar set of skills with the F15, so I think only a few test F16XL (I think they were called XL) exist.
Fancy that, the Strike Eagle is good at striking targets, who would have guessed 😂 Jokes aside, great flying! You need to have a talk with your bomber crews about what "destroy the SAM net" means, you had missiles chasing you all the way in and all the way out after they "completed" their mission 😆

If I check will you offer me an f14 sweater ?
You said at the end the F-15 was so great to do that mission with. Would it have really been any harder in the F16?

F15E- lol I don't even have to be in the same zip code
lmfao
F15e really said, BVR: a/g edition
I love how the Strike Eagle made the whole thing look easy.
1:58 Love the low takeoff can’t beat a view like that. Even with the payload, the Eagle still looks very sleek.
the f-15 with that tall landing gear looks a little a goofy gazelle on the runway, but she becomes an eagle
The Eagle looks like a body builder that skips leg day on the tarmac though..
8:09 as a retired F-15C/D/E crew chief, I agree
F-15E - when the mission requires that you absolutely must have a mini-AWACS with ordinance.
This eagle is super impressive. You were supersonic almost the entire time without struggling 😮
The same cannot be said with the hornet or the viper 😅
How is it “mission accomplished” if you didn’t get revenge on that SA-13? That should have been the final boss fight to really establish Strike Eagle dominance.
Completely agree, that SA-13 should have been another primary target! Maybe he's saving that for the Phantom, who knows!
Line up the empty drop tank on it. F15 ultimate dunk
SA-13 battery commander was shot for not defending the airbase sufficiently.
Same, was expecting an aim ground kill as revenge 😅,but who knows,f22 run perhaps?
It’s almost like the strike eagle was built for such things.😅
A dedicated strike aircraft is better at strike missions than a jack of all trades? Say it ain't so!
I learned to fly the F-15 Strike Eagle on the Commodore 64 by Micro Prose. This looks different.... :) Great video!

6 minutes after the video was posted: best timing just for relax after dinner, after a day at work, with a GS piloting video. :D

Iron eagle wasn't made with the F15 because nobody even then thought the eagle would be the plucky underdog jet that the movie needed.

To be fair, the F-35 is the correct aircraft for this mission. The IDF Airforce strike on Irian three days ago has proved that.
These here backwards strikes are mind bottlin'! 😁
I got baked and drank a 12 pack. Eating a huge meatball sub with cheese and pepperoni while watching this video. Spectacular shit!
