@DinamicTree Yes... well... it is usefull for every kick when the enemy(other player) has 1 foot in the air... because when he brings the foot back he has no chance to dodge this(not even jumping in high). This was taken from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and it is very efective ;)

They made this move illegal in Judo tournaments, because apparently lots of ppl were getting the ligaments in their knees all fucked up when the guy launches himself into the side of the leg.

I know this is an old comment but as a Judo instructor, i gotta say that those injuries come from one main reasom: Judo practitioners doing it wrong
Hapkido practitioners do it too amd those injuries do not happen

rapaz, nem mesmo os propios africanos poderam ser melhores capoeiristas que os brasileiro. porque essa luta surgio no brasil e ja sofreo muitas mmudancas e segue desenvolvendo cada dia mais. agora, acredito sim, que os extrageiros podem ser tao bons quantos os brasileiro, pelo simples fato de estarem valorizando a arte capoeira. agora tem muita gente no exterior representando mal a nossa cultura. para ser bom capoeira tem que ter fundamento e tbm falar portugues!!! a capoeira eh brasileira!!!!!

Sometimes it's just about the fun and the energy! And in this video he is only explaining just one move. You could judge every slowmotion jumping move tutorial saying: "Dude! That's not the right way to land!" But in the end, the purpose of such a clip is just to SLOWLY show THAT PARTICULAR move. Agreed?

he visto alguno de sus videos, y creo que los movimientos que enseña estan muy bien ejecutados, sin embargo, me parece que carece mucho de técnica en lo más básico, por ejemplo en la ginga, el pie de atras se le pasa demasiado, ademas no muestran esa soltura que caracteriza a la ginga, hay que pulir esos detalles, por todo lo demás, creo que es un muy buen trabajo, sigue asi

You should examine your ginga, your foot goes straight behind your other foot and every time you ginga there is a split second that you appear very off balanced, ive noticed this in every one of your videos

This is wrong teached... the idea of tesoura, is to put down the other one with hip force not legs one... gettin up you get stronger with hip than with legs...
