It's been pointed out on Discord that if this were to be a new edition, it would technically be a 3rd edition, since there is an earlier Järnringen edition that predates Free League (in fact, making fan supplements for it is how FL got started!).

Interesting that in The Bitter Reach it's the survival and arctic elements that are the inspiration, whereas in TGD the inspirations are more to do with British expeditions into uncharted territories. I'm a bit disappointed that there will be no horrific elements in TGD, but I can definitely see why they wouldn't want to compete with Alien.
Yeah, I definitely got some Mutant Year Zero vibes as well. Going out and getting supplies for the Ark and all this. I’m pretty excited to see the play test with the kickstarter for this one.
I've never played Coriolis before but I am looking forward for this 2nd edition. I like the idea of a "Forbidden Lands " or "Mutant Year Zero" in space!!!

Cool thing is that The Terror was also an inspiration for Bitter Reach. Seems that Free League is partial to horrible isolation in cold places! :D

Not sure if you know about this but there's Mutant Year Zero - Ad Astra by Free League, which is MYZ in space, just released.

You get a shuttle which is used to go on away missions and this can be upgraded, yes. But it'll be a very different vibe to The Third Horizon.

I am honestly disappointed if the Delves are going to be the main focus of the new Coriolis.
I hope it retains a lot of the first game. Third horizon is extremely hard to find
From the quickstart and the Q&A, it will feel very different to the Third Horizon.
I do NOT like the player characters not getting a personal ship. I hope Coriolis original remains in print.
