Virtually intact World War II radar installations of the type at East Tilbury are known at only two other places in England, making this an extremely rare survivor of a once widespread system.

Nice one. It's good that you had the previous footage to show us around inside.
Yes, I know the quality of the old footage wasn't great as it was 2 years ago but thought it was worth putting in especially as its now sealed up. Thanks for watching 👍😊
Spot on
Thank you very much, we appreciate you taking the time to watch our video 👍🙂
Really great drone footage. Nice to hear the background story as well. Keep up the good work! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thank you very much for your nice comment, we are trying to show these amazing war relics in the best way we can and give them the recognition they deserve as part of our important war history. Glad you liked the video 😊👍
Great video guys. Brings back memories of doing the 2 forts walk when my kids where young👍
Thanks Mark, its a great place to explore, we still have more to see this year hopefully.. thanks for watching 👍🙂
Hi Em and Stu, another great video, glad to see that a piece of English history still survives from WW2 ,hope it stays that way . Stay safe the two of you . Rob.
Yes its nice to see its still standing after all these years but I fear the river will take it eventually like so much 😔 Glad you enjoyed the video, we appreciate you taking the time to watch 😊
@@ExploringWithEmAndStu your welcome .
Great video as always, nice combination of the drone shots after the shuttering was added and showing us inside before :)
Thank you, we were glad to have gotten the chance to take a look a couple of years ago before it was sealed up and thankfully unlike alot of our old footage the picture quality wasn't too bad so thought it made sense to use it.. We only went in December but feels like a lifetime ago now as it was one of the last explore we did before this lockdown.. can't wait to get back out there.. 😔
Just up the hill is West Tilbury Village, the place I grew up. Well worth an explore guys. A lot of history too. Keep up the good work ❤️
Thanks Ian, we are really hoping to get back down that way as soon as restrictions allow to explore some more of this fascinating area. Thanks for your comment 👍
Nice video guys 👍 we were also lucky enough to see the lower levels when it was open. Looking out of the window today looks like an ideal exploring day, hopefully not much longer to wait :)
We went so long ago now but when we went back we disided to review it and do a better video 😊
Cool video guys have a great weekend 👍
Thank you very much for talking the time to watch, glad you enjoyed it 👍😊
Great video guys love the editing...coal house fort is great .I have cycled a few times along the path there...never gone up there though...thanks for saving me the climb lol.😀👍
Thank you.. we really like this part of the Thames as there's loads of history, hoping to return this year to explore some more! 😊
Looks great 👍
Thank you 👍😊
Another interesting piece of history captured. The hooks might have been for hammocks but I am guessing because they used them in the sea forts. I really enjoy your channel. Cheers Ray
Thanks Ray, yes we have thought they could have been for hammocks too as we've also seen them in other war buildings since this visit. Thanks for your nice comment, its appreciated as always 👍😊
Gran trabajo en tus videos Enhorabuena stay. Saludoss

Hi guys🖐🖐🇮🇪👻🍻
Hi, hope you're keeping well, thanks for watching 😊👍
Hi guys,
Short but sweet but another interesting video from yourselves on our gradual disappearing history..thank you👍
@@simonthorne4778 thanks Simon, glad you liked it 😊👍
I got told off by the ranger for flying my drone over this..... However, he was really cool and gave me loads of info on the tower and area.... It was actually designed to look like a water tower to disguise it from the germans.
Yer we have info in the video... As for the drone we were lucky to do it... The good thing is we are all licensed and caa licensed... We are writing to get approval to fly over the fort next spring to do a full documentary on the area... Hopefully 😊
@@ExploringWithEmAndStu yeah I've got the license and insurance etc...and the ranger did say you can apply for permission but then sort of put me off by saying its long winded.... I think it'd because of the rare birds that inhabit the area.. well good luck and ill keep my eyes open for the next visit guys
Yer your probably right, we are pleased you have for the cost of a license and insurance its not worth ducking out of it... We hope to get approval but we will wait and see hope ur well stay safe 😊
