Thank you, Dan. I really miss y'all. I hate not being able to keep up with watching everyone's videos. Keep an eye on your grocery flyers in your area for fresh asparagus and give it a try. Next time I think I will skip the blanching step. I'll try some as a raw pack and some I'm going put in the brine as directed to see how they do. Hubby loved them and has requested I make more in the future.

Hi Danny! My garden is dying out too. Were suppose to get a good bit of rain this weekend, but got very little here. Cukes are done. Still have peppers coming in though. Best crop we've ever had. Few tomatoes hanging in there. Thanks for watching.
Now I am going to have to add this to my next years canning list, I use to do this for bloody mary's. I am going to make mine with the wild asparagus that the hubby & I pick, it grows exceptionally well in the wild here. Tastes so good too. TFS for sharing the recipe XOXO Happy canning but better yet happy eatings!!! Have a great day my friend
Hi Michele, I am so sorry about Charlie. It is so nice to see a video from you I know you stay so busy. Hope all is going well with you these days. I have missed talking to you. Hope to talk to you soon! This sounds delicious by the way. Thank you for sharing!--------------------Tressa Daigle
Thank you, Tressa. We really have missed her. First time in 30 years we haven't had a Rottie in our lives. I miss everyone so much. I really miss being able to keep up with everyone's videos. I appreciate you watching.
Love me some Asparagus!! Never had it pickled but it sure does look mighty tasty! Awesome recipe and how to you done here my friend! So good to see a video from ya. Now we know your alive and well!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I bet Rene will make you some if you ask her too. Looked like you might be getting some pickled carrots from that last garden haul. Thank you for watching, CB.
I've only seen it in stores, but knew there had to be some recipes around. I'm thinking you can pickled just about anything. Start looking through the cookbooks at those thrift stores and sales ya'll hit for pickling cookbooks. I've found a few. Thanks for watching Chico.
Hey friend! Good to see ya. Asparagus is one of mine favorites. It takes like 3 years to establish in growing so that's why I too watch for sales. That was a great bargain you got at Schnucks. That's so funny your dog likes eat that asparagus I've been my dogs will like it too. Thanks for sharing your pickled asparagus recipe today enjoyed seeing you and you have a good day Michelle. Till next time.
Thank you, Belle. I sure miss being able to make and watch more videos now. Yep, I look forward to these spring sales on asparagus every year. Even mark them in my calendar so I know to keep those weekend free for canning. We eat so much of it. My dogs are weird. They eat stuff that most dogs will not. I appreciate you watching.
DaelithTN That's cool about your dogs. Lol. Please don't worry about watching vedios. Lots of times having time to make them Is all that's in the cards. Vedios will always be there to catch up with over winter time. Hugs.
I agree. I will skip the blanching step next time. Going to try a raw pack and some I will put in the brine mix for the allotted time to see which hubby likes best. Thank you for watching, Barbara.
New subscriber here. Thought I would give your channel a look. Thanks for this recipe. We love it. The Meninite Bakery in Whiteville sells it for $6-7 a jar. Thanks Rhonda
Glad you like it . Hope you give it a try. Sprouts has their asparagus on sale this week. I'll be picking up 20 - 30 lbs to put up this weekend. We go out to the Meninite Bakery too, but they can be a little pricey. Thanks for watching & subbing.
Lmbo, rather chat with a telemarketer for an hour.....hahahahaha. I don't understand why they needed to be put in the brine after blanching. I am a raw packer type of guy, those look a bit wiggly for easy handling. Typical woman, doesn't take into account for shrinkage, lol. Great vid my friend, and don't worry about your mind, I lost mine a while back and it's rather pleasant:)))
I wondered the same thing about putting in brine too, but I was trying to stick to the recipe since it was the first time to try it. Next time I make them, I'm going to try skipping the blanching part. Will try some raw pack and some I will just add to the brine for the required time to see which works best. As for my mind, I'm still expecting the guys in the white jackets to show up any day now. Figure I'll be happier chasing butterflies in the garden when they do. Thanks for watching, Ryan.
Try some just cutting to size and ramming the jar full and pour the boiling brine over. The heat bath will do the rest and see what the difference is! Or don't, cause it's more work, hahahaha. I like crunchy pickled stuff, and it is always my goal to have no mush:))
