    Wow !!! Great save on the rainbow 🌈 Tee... can't wait to see what you do those sleeves !!! Your sloth is darling peaking over the bibs... your right... gotta smile 😃

    P.S. Your sloth placement was genius (so is your clever upcycling and putting the rainbow on the back - another thing I wouldn't have thought of). Thank you!

    How clever you are to completely disassemble the original Tee - I wouldn't have thought of that and would be just taking every seam in until it looked like a second grader's Mother's Day project gone wrong. Thanks for the inspo!

    These turned out so great (thanks for using the Comfi Pattern)! Love how the sloth peeks out over your overalls, too freaking adorable (I would definitely smile if I saw that out n about). I ALSO really want to get roller skates! I loved skating as a kid. We live near a church with a huge paved parking lot that would be ideal for skating and the thought regularly crosses my mind!

      I have very fond memories of the roller rink and specifically disco skating! I'm sure I'll have to learn from scratch all over again, but I think it would be worth it!

    Loed your video and the ideas, I never thought of using a pattern I have no clue why!! I am so glad the UA-cam gods sent your video my way. I hope your channel grows a lot!

      Thanks, Elizabeth! One of the things that I adore about sewing is the ability to better accommodate my shape/weight fluctuations. And I'm certainly Team 'Mend 'Til The End'! 😉

    Well, I have to tell you that I did your "T-Shirt Refashion" and OMG, I am obsessed. I purchased the Pattern Scout comfi Tee and went to work on one of my husbands XL tee shirts (he won't miss it)...It turned out so amazing that I am beside myself. Your idea makes so much sense. I wear tee-shirts but I hate the way I look in them. I have a petite frame but super large boobs so tee shirts look like big boxy sheets of fabric. I can now have a tee shirt that looks nice and fits me perfect. Of all my years on this earth I never thought of using a pattern like that on a large tee shirt....I just had to tell you how it went....Again, thank you so much.

      FABULOUS! I'm so glad it worked out so well for you -- thank you for sharing that! I know lots of people think, "whatever...a t-shirt is a t-shirt," but it makes a world of difference when it fits. Congrats and here's to many more! 🙌

    I have to ask…..who are you? You are obviously experienced in the making of tutorials, yet this is a new channel. When the Pattern Scout commented in one of your videos, I became even more intrigued as I watch her tutorials. I am enjoying your work very much. Thanks from Canada.

      I think that, no matter what happens with this channel, this will always be my favourite comment! First, thank you so much for the encouragement. I can't tell you how much that means. Second, I'm actually not at all experienced at making tutorials, so that is a huge compliment. Third, you made me laugh out loud because, in doing all my research on YouTubing and editing and figuring out how to shoot things in different ways, you made me realize that I completely skipped doing a proper introduction of myself! 🤦‍♀ So I will remedy that in my next video. (And I have pattern tested a couple times for Casey and love her patterns, so that's how we know each other).

      Really?! Well, you are a natural in front of the camera. I watch a lot of UA-cam, mostly tutorials on sewing and technology, some are painful to listen to and watch. Too much fluff talking or not enough detail in the “how to” and “why you should” sections. I’m glad the algorithm actually got it right in recommending your brand new channel to me. Best of Luck to You!

    Wow!! Here I have been cutting the neck off and then cutting the bottom, rolling up the sleeves and hoping for the best my entire adult life, aaaaand, those poor t shirts end up being painting and gardening t shirts. I just got an adorable vintage Celine Dion t shirt, and that's totally what's going to happen to it, because I can't sew!! ONE DAY. Your sloth T shirt is absolutely adorable, and what you do is fabulous. What a difference it makes to have a t shirt that actually fits properly!

    • @joonmade
      @joonmade  Рік тому +3

      It makes such a huge difference! I actually wore my cat shirt with a black blazer, jeans, and heels on a red carpet at a film festival. Maybe Celine will make your heart go on a sewing quest? 😉

    That was SO satisfying to watch! Love both your Tees. I did the very same thing a while ago having bought a super huge tee online (upf) to be sure it would be big enough and using one of my favourite patterns I adjusted it to fit me. I ruched the sides since it was long too and now I love it and wear it all the time. Love your videos! Thank you for posting. I found you via Scout Patterns. She had recommended your continuous bias binding instructions for the best she'd ever seen.

    Hello, I love your channel! For the first tee, I was wondering if you had to reattach the ribbed neckline or not? It’s hard for me to tell from this video.

      For the sloth t-shirt? Yes, I reattached the original neckband. Thanks for watching! 😊
