Can you drop some good prompts, especially for those shelves? I tried to do this even with a screenshot of your video as the base image but everything I generate in Photoshop looks awful and nothing like these realistic things.
Dope video. Is there any way to create multiple videos over multiple days that look like they are in the same room? But every time you film it's slightly different lighting, slightly different angle etc.
Hmm yeah makes it tricky with different angles and lighting. Each AI image will really only work with a single setup. But you can reuse the image if your setup always stays the same.
It's a little different in Prem; If you go to the opacity option on the image, you can click the pen tool just below it and then draw your mask on the image. Hope that helps!
Unfortunately I don't think there is one natively. If you have a search around you might be able to find a workaround. A free editing alternative is CapCut which I believe has a masking tool!
Great tutorial - BTW - how do you not have a shadow with your glasses. I have two Elgato key lights in front of me higher than my glass so it takes care of the reflection, but I still have shadows from my glasses showing around my eyes
Great question! It's likely that they aren't providing enough diffusion (a common issue with flat LED panels). You could buy a basic diffuser to put in front of them or even hanging a sheet could help. The more diffused the light, the less harsh shadows :)
@@NickKendall I literally struggled for an hour after that I choose pen in opacity and make a boundary around my pic and click on inverted booom that's worked
Looks amazing, thanks bro! Real question: on a scale of 1-10, how hard is this? 😅 I'm gonna start experimenting, but I want to keep it fairly simple for now... thanks!!
That probably depends on how much previous experience you have with this type of thing; if you have no previous experience then it might be an 7, but if you have a little background with video editing and AI, then maybe a 3? :) Do some experimenting and see how you! That's definitely the best way to learn :)
Hi - what was the actual prompt you used? I tried 'cozy cafe' and it did not look good or as good as your background! Could you provide some sample prompts?
To do that, you've have to mask out yourself entirely including all your hand movements which could be very time consuming depending on how you do it :) So, technically possible but practically not super viable.
Thank you great content. However, when I try and go to firefly, it forces me to try a one week trial of photoshop, after which I ll be charged. Is it how it s actually supposed to be or did I get sth wrong?
There are configurations on Firefly. Remember to make sure yours is on photo. Aside from that I find easier to do a section at a time. If you like something but it has issues click that you accept and erase the issues. Also, don't try to generate from nothing. Firefly sucks at creating stuff. It's a good tool to edit
But how do you sync the photo with the audio? I’m using Filmora 11 and still a newbie editor. This looks cool and would solve a lot of problems but I think it would add 8 hours to my editing time. I’m still over here trying to figure out transitions and due to limited space. My UA-cam workflow is currently Film on webcam using Zoom clips to have an awesome background Create chapter slides in Canva Import everything into Filmora and do VERY BASIC editing. 😢
Good question, I’m sure it’s possible. I haven’t done it but you could theoretically use OBS to add the AI image as an overlay on your live feed and then send a virtual camera output to your broadcast service!
I did it step by step created background and yet when I tried to get it to lay on top of my video all I got was a still picture. The video remained underneath and never played. What did I do wrong?

hi, im checkin on it good job. Is .clipchamp ok for edition software?
Please sir what editing app do you use
thank you Nick you have just given me the confidence to start video recording with zero budget :)
Nice! Best of luck! :)
So simple yet incredible!
AI is amazing!
Great tutorial, really interesting - I’ll have to try that! Had no clue you could do this for free. Love the straight to the point intro.
Thanks Vince! :)
Can you drop some good prompts, especially for those shelves? I tried to do this even with a screenshot of your video as the base image but everything I generate in Photoshop looks awful and nothing like these realistic things.
Have u found any solution yet?
me the exact same - outputs are awful squidgy messes!!!
@@JonathanHubJam I think we need to get the premium version of it
Have ChatGPT write your prompts for the AI image generation. Tell it what you are wanting and that you want the exact prompt. It does a great job.
Super cool !!! Thank you for this video
No problem, glad you liked it! :)

@@NickKendall Ok thanks for the tips
Lighting would be easy. Just use copies of the same pic and adjust exposure.
Now all you need is a new battery for the wall clock
Right! 😂
Ha ha! Brilliant!
@@NickKendall don't listen to that! Even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
It’s a fake clock
😂😂😅
what key light do you use?
I was using the Aputure 120d mkii in this video, but now use a Zhiyun Molus G200.
What about if you have two different angled cameras? and you want to reproduce the same objects on the background with different perspectives?
That would be pretty tricky to pull off unfortunately. Firefly doens't have that kind of capability yet that I know of.
OMG this looks so good and realistic! Thank you!
What if you rotoscpoe yourself on top of that? that could fix the problem of the cutting hands or whatever if you move around too much
Yes, that would fix the problem! It can be time consuming and hard to cleanly rotoscope moving hands though, but it would make a difference :)
which software do you use for video editing? is it possible by Camtasia Video editing software?
I use Final Cut Pro; your software just needs to be capable of adding a mask.
Thank you so much Nick. I had followed along with you throughout the entire video tutorial and it worked out smoothly. Woohoo!
So good! Glad I could help!!
I couldnt find the website link where to modify the videos for free
which is best software for editing which your are using in this video
Final Cut Pro! :)
Hey can please which editing software i can use put that screenshot
Thanks. I dont have an option Save current frame in my Final Cut Pro. Is it possible to activate this option and where can I find it?
If it's not appearing, go to Share -> Add Destination and then there should be an option to add Save current frame. Hope that helps!
Well done! love how simple and straight to the point you made it
Thanks! :)
Which laptop or ipad inneed to do this
Witch software you used where you add feather
Final Cut Pro :)
Thanks for the tutorial. I can't find the draw mask filter in Adobe Premiere pro. Where did you find it? It's not under the effects in the software

@@NickKendall yep I found it! Thank you

Which editor used in video
Are any of the images that are added royalty free? Or are they under copyright?
@nickkendall is there a way to use this on a live zoom call? Not prerecorded
Yeah you can do it through OBS :)
@@NickKendall can you do a video of using it on a Live Zoom call please 🙏 or do you have a video already?
Thanks man! So what type of camera and mic are you using for that great quality?
Shure MV7 & Sony a6600 :)
straight to the point, thank you! gonna try this on my spanish channel ✌🏼

It wont let me search a generat promt, it only lets me randomize it, any reason why?

Hiiiii sir,
If we use AI background, should UA-cam tag yes on altered content? Pls pls pls replay sir
What if you put the mask of yourself in front of the AI layer? Would that give more freedom to move without messing up the background layer?
To do that, you've have to mask out yourself entirely including all your hand movements which could be very time consuming depending on how you do it :) So, technically possible but practically not super viable.

I would like to do that in real time (not edited video) for a zoom background. Is there a way?
If you route your video feed through OBS, you should be able to add a mask to the AI image there before you send it to Zoom :)
I will 100% have a shot! Cheers for sharing buddy

Can you use the same background in multiple UA-cam videos?
Can this work in Capcut desktop
All the backgrounds i am creating are garbage and I've been trying for hours, how did it create images like yours?

Thanks for watching! It's a similar process with Resolve; if you Google "how to mask in Resolve" you should get some good tutorials that explain it :)
You can actually import live video into Photoshop and add generative fill and skip the whole still step .
